I can't tell you what the difference is but I have a young man in Ireland that chats with me once in a while and he did tell me that they weren't as strict over there as they are here. He is off to college now so we don't chat as much as we did.Does anybody know if there is a difference in the standard between UK and U.S. bred birds and are certain points of the breed seen as more important (for example shape more important than coulor in the U.S. and vice versa in the UK? Or is it the same?) between the 2 countries?
Thanks
He has different breeds and he does breed and show but I don't think he has done to much this year because of school. I'm Irish also and really love talking with this young man sometimes.Haha well I'm Irish myself. Does he breed them?
Yes, I believe he is in Mayo not positive though. I am in Pa. about 60 miles south of Pittsburgh. He's in Mayo is he? He had a really nice lf rooster on donedeal the other day. Where abouts are you?
Thanks Sally, I really am a little pumped with these so far. Only time will tell. These are a few of my project birds that I'm working on. These are just a little over 11 weeks. Hoping they turn out super. This is just the first step. It will take a few years before I'm finished with them. LOL Had a coon take two of these before I caught and killed him a couple of nights ago. Still setting trap and nothing since so maybe there was just the one. Will be keeping the trap set.
