I just found this thread. So a picture or 2 of my 5 month olds. You would think that I would have gotten more roo's in a straight run batch than I did. 24 female top 1 male.

My Rhode Island Reds have yellow legs with a red line down the side. The depth of yellow varies depending on how much corn they consume.

Hi...i'm new to raising breeding and selecting exhibition type Rhode island red chickens(I got them mailed from Cackle hatchery). I'm from Puerto Rico and I've been reading this ever growing thread and wanted to thank mr Blosl for all his work and disposition to start it. Rest in peace! I'll be posting pictures of my flock and questions about doubts or things I need help with. Thanks to this community I've learned so much I'm impressed.

I recently started in the world of RIR for this purpose...also started with Barred Plymouth rocks to produce black sex links,barred rock and RIR
