The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

I managed to hatch out 6 chicks from eggs that came from Mr. Heinz. These are from the Underwood line. Three that hatched came from his RC pen, and three came from his SC pen.

I am so excited to get a start on this line and on "real" RIR. I learn so much from this thread and am hoping to add the Nelson and Mohawk lines to my RIR program. I appreciate all the help that I get from everybody, and I am sure I will be needing much more as time goes on.

The lighting and cell phone camera do not do these little guys justice. They are beautiful!

Very cute Penny Congrats

Thanks Jim. I am super excited with these little guys. It is really awesome knowing that these little guys have siblings way up in PA. Maybe yours will become snowbirds and head south for the winter now that they have family down here.

Ha, ha, ha. I'm putting weights on their feet so they can't leave. They are trying to fly out of the tote already. When I walk up to the tote they try to fly up to me. I'm constantly standing talking to them and petting on them. lol Spoiled little turd birds. lol
