The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“Here I will walk. Chion can’t pull me and Kipp” Fred said
Chion watched her only passenger walk past, wondering if anyone was going to release her. She could easily, if she had to, but would prefer to find something to wear first. She grunted at the nearest kid rocking forward and back, requesting she be released.

He plopped Kipp back on the ground, “Just don’t go hurling your guts out again.” Take informed bluntly, “I thought you were gonna pass out or somethin..”

Take squinted his eyes, making a twisted face as he listened to Ashira scold him. He didn’t listen to half of her words as he mentally cringed. She sounds worse than Blair. His body shuddered when she heard her stop talking, “Okay. First don’t tell me what to do.” he looked down at his shaky fingers and started to do his math by counting out loud quickly with each digit. Wait I can just subtract four by nineteen
“I’m fifteen.” he exclaimed before realizing what he had said. He frowned, glowering at Ashira, “Shut up” he growled at her before she could reply to his idiotic response and started walking back to the transformation chamber.

"I'll sleep later. I'm not letting anyone carry me out this time." He muttered, giving Take a weird look when he proclaimed he was fifteen.

“Here I will walk. Chion can’t pull me and Kipp” Fred said

Kipp made eye contact with Fred, watching him slowly hobble toward them. For a brief moment he forgot the tension between them, then shifted his gaze away as the awkwardness returned. Turning to walk toward their goal.

(Did they all just leave the littles behind?... )

Kipp stopped in his tracks seeing Noah, who was unsurprisingly in the lead, the young kids presence reminding him of the others existence.

He sighed turning back, and helped Chion out of the harness. He wasn't sure why she decided to stay as she was, now that they didn't need the cart. But having someone to carry a kid or 2 was helpful. He figured 2 kids was about the same weight as Fred, and ushered Torrin and Alex up on to her back for a ride. Then picked up Emma carrying her himself. With out asking if it was ok, completely disregarding the reaction he'd had to Take picking him up.

(Alright we're moving. I'm going to bed. Ni ni)

(Goodnight. I’ll just choose a random kid for Ashira to pick up. I don’t know any of their names lol)
Ashira picked up a small boy from the cart and sat him on her right hip, supporting him with her right arm wrapped around him and supporting that arm with her left. Then she quickened her pace and caught up with the others.

Fred glanced back slowing his pace so he fell into step with Chion.

Kipp stopped his full out sprint, tripping and pattering to a stop. Panting and staring in confusion at the three people standing before him. His chest hurt with the heaving beat of his heart. He had thought they were guards standing in their way. Not the people they'd been looking for. A wave of dizziness brought him to his knees, as he gasped for air. Calm down. He whispered in his mind. Trying to will his heart to stop racing. Get up. You're fine. He could feel the blood draining from his cheeks and the cold sweat on his forehead. There was nothing he could do to hold down the vomit that forced it's way out. Emptying his stomach of the small amount he'd eaten hours ago.
She looked up at him and nodded a greeting before looking back at Kipp. She looked back at Seina. “This is Kipp and the others we told you about. I- I think they’ve been through a lot...”
Seina stared shocked at the puking harpy, she'd met him before briefly. But hadn't remembered his name. She looked up at the others. Fred who she had helped, and four other young children. (I've added RAA's Charry to the number ((Alex))) The young ones were staying close to the cart with Fred, who was riding in it. "I guess they must have. They're pretty smart to have used that to get out of the workroom unnoticed. But there will be guards coming through here soon. It's not as inconspicuous here. We need to keep moving even if he is sick. And leave the critter and the cart. It will only slow us down."
Take blankly stared at the vomiting and nauseated Kipp, “The cart thing would only take him so far, and it’ll slow us down.” he stated, leaning down and grabbing Kipp by the back of his torn shirt and tossed him over his shoulder. “Come on brats, we’ll finally get out of here” he smirked widely.

Noah, who of course happened to be the cart shaker, ran back to release the disgruntled Chion-creature.

That boy happened to be Elon. Elon sunk into her arms like a broken doll. This work was sucking the life out of him. He didn’t know they were leaving, or why he was following them. All he knew was teenage Kipp was doing it, so he had to too.

Emma gave a startled little squeak as she was taken from the ground, but didn't struggle. She was too tired to even care who had picked her up or why, instead clinging to Kipp to keep herself up, trying to stay awake.

Once the group made it just outside the transformation chamber doors, Take picked up the sounds of heavy footsteps coming from behind them in a distant passageway. And they were coming quick. He wretched one of the heavy doors open with an arm, leaving it open for the kids and creature thingy to pass through. I guess it’s a pet or something? “Hurry up and get down the corridor, there’s someone or something coming for us.” he urged.

“Wonderful,” she commented sarcastically, turning to Seina. “Someone or something is waiting for us, Take says. We have to hurry and get down the corridor!” She hesitated, then added, “Can I tell them about you?” She risked a glance at Seina’s belly area. “It might be best if they knew so they could help you as best as they can. If you don’t want me to say anything, though, I understand.”

Kipp looked at Noah quizzically, this was the second time he had taken over helping Chion when he'd already been in the middle of doing the job. He shrugged, deciding the kid was probably just trying to be helpful. It was kind of annoying to have some one take over and in the end slow down the process, but he wasn't going to discourage him from trying to help.

Kipp walked to Chion's right, his left hand still holding on to the heavy piece of metal. He was glad Emma had monkeyed on to him, it would be a lot harder to carry her if she hadn't. But the warmth of her against him made him want to close his eyes and rest his head on hers. It was nice to be hugged, even if it was just a necessity of being carried.

The lack of a guard at the door where there had been one earlier was concerning to Seina. Her illusion hadn't lasted so long that he would still be following it, he should have come back. Her senses went to high alert expecting danger hiding behind the door that Take boldly shoved open, but nothing sprang out at them from the transformation room.

She gave the boy a comforting rub on the shoulder.

"Waiting for us?" She asked nervously peering into the room from where she stood, not willing to get closer to what danger was in front of them. There didn't appear to be anything in the transformation room, but then he might have better senses than her.

She hesitantly nodded, furrowing her brow at the idea of so many knowing. So far she had only told Grafe. And he had told his friend Jerran who he'd known from before coming to this place. "
If you really think it's important." She'd been extremely careful about anyone finding out. Stealing what she could unnoticed from Olim's fortress to trade for other things that she needed like the long baggy clothes she now wore, just to keep anyone else from finding out.

-----

Chion slowed in confusion, she could hear the crunching sounds of heavy foot falls in gravel coming from behind them with her long animal ears. Was there danger ahead too? Take stance seemed to imply he wanted them to keep going, was he waiting for someone to go in and take care of the bad guys first? Or was there some kind of mix up and he wanted them to go forward quickly?

"Don't stop guys come on, go!" He said, swinging his sword lazily, gesturing toward the open door.

“I’ll only let them know if a situation where they’ll need to know occurs,” she promised. “I respect why you don’t want to the whole world to know. I wouldn’t know firsthand, but I can sympathize with it.”
