The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Elon normally would have refused to go, but he had learned to trust these kids. They would take him home. He sat beside her and they slid down the slope.

Noah walked beside the strange Chion creature. He knew she couldn’t understand him, but the kids beside her could, and his stomach was flopping and empty.
He just wanted to complain.
“I’m hungry,” he mourned. Then he spotted the bones. “What are those?” he asked.
He studied one of the skeletons, trying to identify it. A mountain goat, probably. They were in the mountains and it was the size of a goat.
“I think that’s a mountain goat,” he decided. “Where are we going? Is there a way to get home?”
(Torin @RiverStorm , and Alex @RoostersAreAwesome are on Chion's back.)

Kipp hobbled over closer to the edge, Emma in one arm, and Fred hanging on to his other. He frowned down at the people who'd already made it to the bottom. Surprised by the squirming in his belly at the thought of stepping over the edge. He tried to shake off the feeling stepping one foot out and trying out weight on it. The gravel instantly gave under him, sending a cascade of tiny pebbles bouncing downward, as he pulled his foot back to reconsider how he'd get the three of them down the hill. He couldn't remember a time that his wings wouldn't hold him if things went wrong. And now here he was practically on the edge of a cliff and had to get not only himself, but two others down safely.

(Still Kipp) Watching Noah easily step out and slide down the hill didn't make him feel any better. But Chion and the three kids were now headed down the next hill without them. They had to keep going or get left behind.
"You ready?" He asked Fred a nervous timbre in his voice.

Seina looked on with confusion, she didn't know what anyone was saying but for they seemed to understand how to get down so it wasn't too bad. She took Elon's hand him being the last kid at the top of the hill, and smiled at him. She wasn't sure what language he spoke, so she swung her head toward the slope indicating what she intended to do. Then carefully stepped over the edge, helping him down beside her before stepping down with her other foot and sliding down the hill mostly seated.

Chion looked at their surroundings curiously, what she had initially thought were rocky outcroppings were in actuality piles of old bones. None of the creatures were recognizable for what they had once been, most having been eaten clean by predators.

She wandered closer to one of the more recent looking dead things to get a better look at what it was, baring her large square teeth in disgust. It didn't look like anything she recognized.

She looked away from it, searching for something else. There was no way they'd be hiding under a pile of dead bodies for the night. She snorted, acknowledging Noah's presence, as she continued to search the area for some other place to go. Following a trail of matted grass down along a sheer cliff face. Maybe there would be a place down here where they could find shelter.
“Ready as I’ll ever be” Fred gulped stepping off the edge and landing hard on his backside.

Take dealt with the first three guards and a few more that came after them. He staggered against the rock wall, letting himself catch his breath until anymore arrived. He was surrounded by collapsed bodies, unconscious from Take’s pummeling. Some of them having scalds on their faces from his fiery fists. He didn’t know how long he would keep at it, but he wanted to stall the guards long enough so that the kids wouldn’t be captured right off the bat. His eyelids grew heavy, fighting, getting tortured, malnourishment, not attaining enough sleep stacked upon him. Take slid down, eyeing his injuries and raw broken skin on his knuckles as his chest heaved achingly. Those guys put up decent fights... He lazily gazed about the floor, seeing small puddles of blood and a few teeth that scattered about. I should catch up with them soon..

Kipp stumbled forward, being dragged with him, his wings jumping out uselessly to try to keep him balanced as they slid down the rocky slope.
Ashira walked over and grabbed his arm, holding him steady as they slid down. She couldn’t help glancing back multiple times. “I want to go back for Take.”

Kipp tried to steer him away from the rocks that they seemed to be gravitating towards, but couldn't seem to do anything to alter their course.

“Sorry” Fred cried, his shoulder slammed into a rocky ledge. He let out a cry with it fading into a whimper.

He grimaced at the dull thud, hissing at Fred's pain. He was supposed to be helping him not smashing him in to rocks. The four spun on the loose gravel, Ashira being pulled down to the bottom as she was on the side with the least resistance, holding on to Kipp's elbow on the side that held Emma. The large mass of people was probably why they were having such a hard time avoiding the obstacles.

Kipp dug his claws in to the loose dry ground, finding minimal resistance. Instead the soft earth giving way below his feet and showering Ashira with dust and stones. He held on to Fred as tightly as he could dragging him down the hill above him, earning him his own face full of dust and debris. Kipp turned his face away closing his eyes as they slid the rest of the way down.

He coughed on the dust, letting go of Fred and climbing to his feet to wipe the dirt from his face.

Ashira walked over and grabbed his arm, holding him steady as they slid down. She couldn’t help glancing back multiple times. “I want to go back for Take.”

Kipp looked up at her half bent over with a stunned look on his face, Emma still in his arms. Then looked back up the hill they'd just come down. He wanted to go back too, but that wasn't happening now there was no easy way back up that hill. He shook his head, passing Emma to her to carry, so he could check her over. "He locked the door. The only way it's opening is either he does it, or the guards do. He'll catch up if he can." Emma didn't seem any more hurt than she'd been before they stepped off the side of the planet. "Take her and follow Chion. We don't want to get anymore separated than we already are."

He turned to check on Fred, kneeling down next to him. "Let me see."

She snapped her eyes shut as a shower of dust and stones fell on her. “Convenient,” she muttered as a few harassing particles crept into her mouth and eyelids. Then she opened her eyes. “I guess you’re right... but I don’t have to like it.” She scooped Emma up and slid down the hill some more. “I hate this hill.”

Fred tore the fabric covering his shoulder, “I’m not sure there is much you can do”

Kipp sighed, there really wasn't much he could do. His hands and clothes were filthy and so were Fred's it actually would have been better if he hadn't ripped his shirt open at least it would have kept the bloody gash partially protected.

He looked up at Fred's face, wishing there was something he could do to help. Only to be met with mud covered glasses staring back at him.

"You got some of those bags of Candelous dust didn't you?" He asked out of the blue.
