The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Aria nodded agreeing with Lilith
“I don’t have to...” Cam says. “I can just click on ‘Covid-19 News.’ And if you want to know, it’s Saturday, April 18th.”
Cam clicked on “Covid-19 News.’ “‘Death Toll in US tops 40,000, governors face pressure to reopen,’” she read. “Whoah, that’s dark. Wait, after all our hard work is the world really ending? Was this brought here by Olim to weaken us before he invaded that became some kind of last laugh before he died?” It seemed plausible.
Lilith's hand clamped over her mouth, feel nausea ripple in her gut. "Forty thousand deaths? No, no, that can't be right. Everything was fine before we left!" She rasped, leaning over to read it also. "US confirmed cases being about 673,000 and the death toll in US tops 40,000." She shook her head. "How? We-- Three months and this?" She murmured. What do we do now?

Kylan's breath caught, stepping forward. What about Mom and Dad? And everyone else? "How many cases are in Kentucky and Main?" He asked, needing to know something more, at least.
"Uhhh, there's a map... 3,000 in Kentucky and 800 in Main." His childhood friend answered, looking and sounding stressed. Oh God.
"How, how would we find out if our families have it?" He asked, glancing between them.
"I dunno." Lili muttered uselessly.

“And this is with the quarantine?” Cam asked. “What does the government want us to do about this?”
She clicked on an article labeled “Stay at Home Order: What it means for Americans.”
Slowly, the group began to fill in the gaps in what happened over the past three months.
“Okay, so it sounds like we’re stuck together,” Cam figured out. “But can we find a slightly larger house, if it can be called that?” She looked at Aria expectantly.

Aria closed her eyes feeling dizzy, 40,000 deaths just in the USA? God, what about Sydney? What about my friends? And my parents?
Aria attempted to remain calm

"My house is really big." Kylan muttered, trying to distract himself. "If that's what you mean. Mom wouldn't mind if we crash there, Dad... He'll deal with it." He offered.
"I'd offer my place, but I'm kinda homeless."
Kylan whirled on her, stunned by this new announcement. "What? Since when? Why didn't you say so?"
Lilith sighed, standing up. She'd been dealing with that realization while the others spoke on the newfound restrictions, and she wasn't ready to boo-hoo about it. "Since now, and I just did. I've missed three payments, I'm out. I have Tru, a camera, and a dying phone. Now, can we focus? Other than Kylan, who has a semi large house that maybe doesn't include a particular set of parents from Kentucky?" She asked, looking at everyone. When did life come to this?

Kevin listened to them speak, wordlessly taking in the information. He almost didn’t want to know what it’s like in his country. He was worried about his family. Sure, with a long generation of healers most of them would be fine, but what about Felix? Or his other siblings, who had moved away? And their kids?
He looked around the shed. There were way too many people in here, and it was starting to get stuffy. They needed to find a bigger place to be, ASAP.

Aria looked at them “I would offer but we need plane tickets to get us to Sydney and even then my parents would flip.”

“I can try teleporting us” Aria suggested

All this new information on the whole Coronavirus pandemic unloaded on Hana, and she tried to understand how it got so bad. It has to be bad where mom and grandfather are too.. but Kanazawa is quite populous, but no where near to Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka. Even if she had a strained relationship with both her mother and grandfather, they were still her family. She stood near Lilith, gazing up at the tall girl. "I know of a place.. but I doubt San Francisco would be safe right? Plus its way too far from here... it won't work.." she murmured, biting her lip in uncertainty.

“Hey it’s closer than Sydney. I think I could make it” Aria grinned

Kevin slowly raised his hand. “If we could get to Russia then my house would be perfect. It’s big, and it’s only me.” He offered.
