Colby suddenly noticed that he was no longer alone in distractedly remaining downstairs and tore himself from the window- he hadn't been really seeing outside for a pretty long time now, anyway. In the back of his rushing head, he was dimly aware that it seemed way past his normal bedtime- and everyone else's too, for that matter, despite how his ears told him that upstairs was still abounding with the movements and voices of the wide awake.Aria fell into a nice sleep before she flinched. The last 3 months rushed through her head, being stabbed by that poison thing which made her arm turn green, falling victim to a wolf at the very start, the fountain, pain, the dragon, gold, the wild boar things that Kylan fried. She whimpered in her sleep before sitting bolt upright letting out a gasp, the cold night air cooling her burning skin. Aria settled back into her pillow still breathing hard “get it together Aria” she whispered quietly aware of the 3 other people in the room. Flashbacks still raced through her mind, idiot her telling Kylan how she felt, never in 1 million years would she have done that if she was normal. Aria closed her eyes the memories still very strong, “Ari. You can’t afford to be wasting time on nightmares, you need to rest after teleporting the group across the globe” she whispered as softly as possible to avoid waking anyone. Giving up she tiptoed into the bathroom splashing some cold water onto her face, Aria returned to her bed laying down and thinking. Thank goodness those kids finally shut up. Now I can sleep if I can get these flashbacks out of my head! She crept down the stairs making sure to be almost silent and sat down in front of the fire. She hugged her knees to her chest. She couldn’t stop thinking about the past 3 months, he r parents must be so worried. Aria watched the flames dancing on the wood behind the glass. She smiled softly to herself, fire was pretty. Aria sat there hugging her knees deep in thought
But only now was everything really starting to sink into Colby -in fact, his thoughts were traversing nearly the exact same track as Aria's- and there wasn't going to be any sleeping on his part for a pretty long while.
"Hey, Aria," he greeted softly, padding over to the fireplace and sitting down a few feet away from her. "Can't sleep either?"
