The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Aria fell into a nice sleep before she flinched. The last 3 months rushed through her head, being stabbed by that poison thing which made her arm turn green, falling victim to a wolf at the very start, the fountain, pain, the dragon, gold, the wild boar things that Kylan fried. She whimpered in her sleep before sitting bolt upright letting out a gasp, the cold night air cooling her burning skin. Aria settled back into her pillow still breathing hard “get it together Aria” she whispered quietly aware of the 3 other people in the room. Flashbacks still raced through her mind, idiot her telling Kylan how she felt, never in 1 million years would she have done that if she was normal. Aria closed her eyes the memories still very strong, “Ari. You can’t afford to be wasting time on nightmares, you need to rest after teleporting the group across the globe” she whispered as softly as possible to avoid waking anyone. Giving up she tiptoed into the bathroom splashing some cold water onto her face, Aria returned to her bed laying down and thinking. Thank goodness those kids finally shut up. Now I can sleep if I can get these flashbacks out of my head! She crept down the stairs making sure to be almost silent and sat down in front of the fire. She hugged her knees to her chest. She couldn’t stop thinking about the past 3 months, he r parents must be so worried. Aria watched the flames dancing on the wood behind the glass. She smiled softly to herself, fire was pretty. Aria sat there hugging her knees deep in thought
Colby suddenly noticed that he was no longer alone in distractedly remaining downstairs and tore himself from the window- he hadn't been really seeing outside for a pretty long time now, anyway. In the back of his rushing head, he was dimly aware that it seemed way past his normal bedtime- and everyone else's too, for that matter, despite how his ears told him that upstairs was still abounding with the movements and voices of the wide awake.
But only now was everything really starting to sink into Colby -in fact, his thoughts were traversing nearly the exact same track as Aria's- and there wasn't going to be any sleeping on his part for a pretty long while.
"Hey, Aria," he greeted softly, padding over to the fireplace and sitting down a few feet away from her. "Can't sleep either?"

Juliana had stayed in the background as much as she could. If she hadn't spur of the moment decided to grab onto a random shoulder when Aria teleported they would have happily left her behind in Kyle's storage room she was sure.

She had waited, watching through the window for most people to go upstairs before she made her way inside. Colby staring through the window at her had kind of creeped her out, but it turned out he was more staring though her than at her. He hadn't even noticed her come inside, or walk past him.

She knew there was something off about these people. They were all weird. Who in their right mind would put their life on the line for someone else, let alone alien freaks? But then they all seemed to be alien freaks too.

Jewels tried to curl up to sleep, wrapping her arms around her knees. But she couldn't seem to close her eyes, instead watching the light play across the winged boys face as he drooled into the armrest of the couch. He didn't look particularly comfortable, one arm stretched out over the armrest partly under his head, and somehow he was sleeping on one wing, while the other was spread out over him hiding the rest of him from view.

Jewels jumped when the teleporting girl silently appeared next to her, unaware of her presence, she sat on the rug in front of the fire. Followed shortly by the fox boy. Jewels frowned at the two, annoyed that neither had noticed her existence. Or what was more likely was that they had, but they chose to ignore her.

“Nope. Which is very hypocritical of me considering not long ago I was telling Kylan to shut the kids up so I could sleep” Aria said glancing at him as he approached

"I totally get that." Colby shifted a bit around on the comfy rug before continuing. "Pretty crazy thing to come back, right? I mean, we've been gone for so long, and have been thinking that our families are beyond worried about us, but turns out we're even more clueless about their wellbeing during this some kind of horrible worldwide crisis." He winced as he said it all aloud, and realized Aria was addressing someone else in that lull.
And that someone else was Juliana.
Colby heaved an internal sigh. Here was another opportunity to be civil beings- and he was going to take it, as always, but, as even Colby had come to regrettably understand, the likelihood of her reciprocating in kind was about 0.00001%. "Oh, hey, Juliana. Have you been here long? I'm really sorry about that." And genuinely sorry he really was. Nobody should be left out, regardless of how utterly unlikable they may be. "I guess our minds are kinda all over the place."

“Hi, Jewels. Isn’t it?” Aria asked giving her a smile
Juliana gave her a sour look, pursing her lips at her for using her nickname. They weren't friends, and they certainly weren't close enough for her to talk to her like that.

Have I been here long? Do you not have eyes, or was that sarcastic? She thought, her mild annoyance changing to open disgust. She rolled her eyes at his half-hearted excuse pointedly ignoring him by turning stare into the kitchen instead.

And you're right back to ignoring me. Am I supposed to be honored that you noticed? Stupid freaks.

Aria brushed Juliana’s sour look off as though it didn’t exist. She didn’t mind, this girl was obviously annoyed about something. Aria decided she’d focus on Colby who was being nice and friendly

Colby was more than a little put out by the hostile looks from Juliana, but he knew he really should've expected it. "Sounds you've reached the level of overtired that has no hope of return," he reasoned lightly to Aria. "Guess I should be, too, but I'm just...out of it." He dropped down on his belly and propped his chin up on his overturned palms, thinking about everything and nothing all at once.
And, then, since he seriously had nothing to lose, he tried to be the better person again. "How about you, Juliana?"
