The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Aria laughed “okay then. I will leave you too it. Do you have horses? I was wondering if I could see your farm when your done with shoveling the manure” she asked. She had taken horse riding lessons for about 3 years before money got tight and she had to give it up, she missed riding sometimes but most of all she missed being around animals. If Kevin would let her she’d happily brush his horses for him If he had any.

Kevin shook his head. “No, I don’t. I would love to have a few, but as of right now, I can’t really keep anything that I can’t use.” He explained, and then nodded. “Yeah, of course. I just finished here. Follow me,” Kevin said, walking towards the barns. “I have cows, pigs, sheep, a donkey, and a couple of cats, which I strangely haven’t seen yet. And chickens. Lots of chickens,” He opened the gate where everyone was grazing, holding it open for her. “Come on in.”

"Oh, you're in California too." He said a smile touching his face before fading as he realized Take wasn't going to be there anymore.
"First thing, I guess... I'd like to see my family again. I'm not sure how well that'll go over, but I miss them a lot. After that?" Kipp sighed, he hadn't really given it much thought. Life would inevitably go on as it always had. School, and work on a never ending cycle. "I'd like to travel around a bit. I dont know if it's possible, especially with what's going on right now. Who knows when things will start opening up again." He sighed looking at himself in the mirror. "Do you think we'll be here long, or do you think Aria will start taking people back home soon? I'm glad we're all still together, I just, don't know what we're supposed to do here. We're home but we're not. Kevin was worried about being in America without a passport, but I think he's the only one who actually belongs in Russia." Kipp bit on his lip to stop the what ifs that suddenly popped into his head, from spilling out. The idea of being locked up again made his stomach turn.
Hana quietly listened to Kipps words as she snipped away at his hair. Her face content with the progress she was making so far. She stopped and rested a hand on his shoulder, “We’ll get home, probably not now, but eventually. I don’t know how long this will all last, but don’t go insane on us alright?” she smiled, patting his shoulder before going back to his hair, “Being in a home full of people is definitely overwhelming.. just find something to occupy yourself with.”

“Of course, that makes total sense.” Aria walked into the paddock

(Paddock. I can’t believe I forgot that. All I could think of was run. XD)

Kevin followed her in, closing and latching the paddock gate behind him. “They’re all pretty friendly. You can pet them, if you want. Try not to pet their faces, especially near their mouths, just in case,” He said, patting a black bull on the shoulder. “Oh, and avoid the donkey. He’s a turd.”

“Yep” Aria surveyed the view for a few seconds before walking over to the first animal she saw which happened to be a sheep. The fleece was so soft! “Do you name all your animals?” She asked

Kevin crossed his arms as he watched her, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. At her question, he snorted. “For the most part, no. Most of them are going to be sold, or eaten, so there’s not really a point. I do name the cats, and a few of the special ones. Take Mama, for example. She’s been in my family for... I want to say ten years? She’s my best broody, and probably won’t be culled anytime soon, so for me that warrants a name,” He said. “The donkey also has a name, but I don’t think I can say that out loud.”

Aria laughed “I think I can guess Donkeys name but I won’t because...” she nodded in Noah’s direction “the last thing we need is him saying that”

Kevin laughed with her. He doubted Noah could hear them, especially since he could barely see the boy, but it was better safe than sorry. “Yeah, the last thing we need is for the kids to start screaming that. Communism was bad enough.”

“Let’s go back,” said Cam. “I want to see what the others are doing.” Months ago, she would have felt like an intruder deep in the woods, where did Kevin’s property end? But after the thick forests of Borealis that didn’t belong to anyone, it was more a wary fear and the urge to be around her powerful companions. She tried to remind herself that Russia didn’t have the forest monsters of the Laefeslay, but it the trees still set her on edge, though quite a but smaller.
Like an obedient puppy, Noah trotted at Cam’s heels as she approached the clearing near Kevin’s house. Cam noted Kevin and Aria in a paddock by the barn. “Hey, maybe we can ask if we can see the animals.”
“The farm animals! Yes, let’s go see the animals!” Noah climbed the wooden fence. “Hey Kevin!” he called. “Can I come in?”
