The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Hana quietly listened to Kipps words as she snipped away at his hair. Her face content with the progress she was making so far. She stopped and rested a hand on his shoulder, “We’ll get home, probably not now, but eventually. I don’t know how long this will all last, but don’t go insane on us alright?” she smiled, patting his shoulder before going back to his hair, “Being in a home full of people is definitely overwhelming.. just find something to occupy yourself with.”
A grin spread across his face, and he stifled a laugh, so he wouldn't move as much. He didn't know how she could say it so seriously, but appreciated the joke.
"Pff, no promises." He said, studying Hana with a confused smile. She reminded him a lot of his brother. Except she wasn't picking on him the same way Chris did. Maybe that was just the difference between a brother and a sister. One would antagonize him, and the other would make sure he was actually ok.
"I have a question for you... What do you think of long distance relationships?"

“Let’s go back,” said Cam. “I want to see what the others are doing.” Months ago, she would have felt like an intruder deep in the woods, where did Kevin’s property end? But after the thick forests of Borealis that didn’t belong to anyone, it was more a wary fear and the urge to be around her powerful companions. She tried to remind herself that Russia didn’t have the forest monsters of the Laefeslay, but it the trees still set her on edge, though quite a but smaller.
Like an obedient puppy, Noah trotted at Cam’s heels as she approached the clearing near Kevin’s house. Cam noted Kevin and Aria in a paddock by the barn. “Hey, maybe we can ask if we can see the animals.”
“The farm animals! Yes, let’s go see the animals!” Noah climbed the wooden fence. “Hey Kevin!” he called. “Can I come in?”

Kevin turned around, facing Noah and Cam. Speak of the devil. He thought, glancing at Aria. “Yes of course, come on in,” he said, opening the paddock. “Stay away from the donkey. You can pet everyone else, but don’t go near their faces,” he said, helping Noah over the fence. He turned around, clicking his tongue and rapidly speaking in Russian. One of the cows looked up, and slowly made its way over, her calf in tow. “Good Girls,” he murmured, gently stroking the mothers head. He glanced at Noah and Cam, giving them a nod that said they could pet them.

Hana stood in front of Kipp and started tending to his bangs, tossing almost every piece of hair she cut into the trash basket. She knitted her eyebrows at his question, thinking carefully about her feelings on the subject. “I’m not the most.. experienced with relationships, not even long-distance ones... so I’m not sure if my thoughts would benefit you..” she informed honestly, “But what I think about them.. is that I bet they’re not easy to maintain.. harder to keep than close proximity ones.” Hana relaxed her face, her smile creeping back, “I think the best person to ask about this is probably Blair, if you’re asking about a romantic long distance relationship.”

"Hmm, I guess." He said furrowing a brow. Everything had felt so awkward around Blair. He had, for the most part been avoiding her. Unable to apologize for getting Emma hurt, or admitting to her that it was his fault. The guilt of not having said anything then growing each time he'd considered talking to her. Aside from that problem asking her about that kind of thing right now seemed like a bad idea.

Noah shot towards the cow but Cam held him back.
“Approach the cows slowly,” she said quietly.
“Okay!” Noah chirped, slowing down and reached up to pat the big cow on the shoulders. “Cowy! What’s her name?”
Then he reached down to pat her daughter. “She’s very cute.”
Cam beamed like a proud parent. For at least thirty seconds Noah had maintained an attitude that wouldn’t set a farm full of animals berserk.

“Did you drug him or something?” Aria whispered leaning over, she was totally gobsmacked at how calm Noah was. Her eyes glimmered with humour at her suggestion that Cam has drugged the little Kid

Kevin watched Noah, surprised to see he obeyed Cam’s order. “Uh... they don’t have names,” he said. He waited for Noah’s reaction, really hoping he didn’t ask why. Kevin didn’t want to explain the reason. What would he even say? ‘Oh, yeah, I can’t name them, cause I’ll get attached. They’ll get eaten you know!’ Didn’t seem that child friendly.
“Oh, thank you.” Kevin said, smiling down at Noah.

Hana didn’t bother to pry into why he asked such a thing, It’s really none of my business anyways. She started humming a playful tune now that it was silent between them, as time went by, his hair looked more neat and appealing. Taking a step behind him, she gazed at his reflection in the mirror, turning her head to the side observantly. She pursed her lips, “Do you want it shorter?” she asked, twirling the pair of scissors in her hand. He was able to see better now, his forehead no longer hidden completely underneath his bangs, but not fully revealed either. She made sure his hair retained some of its fluff and could easily be calmed with a trim.

“No,” Cam said. “He’s like this... sometimes...”

“Okay, I’ll name them then,” Noah said resolutely. “You’re name is Cowy,” he said, patting the mother. (Are they black? For some reason I have it in my head that these are black Angus.) “And your name is Butter.” Cowy’s daughter huffed in approval at her new name. Cowy conveyed no emotion whatsoever.
Cam bit her lip and gave Kevin a look that said: You must call them by their names as long as Noah’s here.
