“That’s fine. Good luck.” She went around the house, wandering until she found another back door. There she ran down to a small river, wishing she knew what the word was in English. Wishing she could just make the sounds. There were so many words.

She nodded absentmindedly and looked back at the river.
Huh... I wonder if I could catch a fish. He wandered over to the river, dipping his paw in experimentally. Satisfied that his paw could in fact still work in water, he crouched down and watched for movement. As soon as he saw a flash of silver scales, he leaped into the river, figuring a fish was like normal prey. Instead all he got was a wet pelt and muddy paws. He growled in frustration as he hauled himself back onto the bank.
