The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kipp flinched at the sound of the guard being slammed against the door. "Yeah, yeah I hear it. Now come on, we have to go."
“No, the screams.” Since her arms were occupied, she snapped her eyes shut, unable to stand the sound. People we being hurt, and there was nothing she could do about it! “What- What’s that banging sound? Is it even real?”

Kipp took a long blink swinging forward slightly, listening hard for screaming sounds other than the noise Take and his new friends were making. Her question was confusing. Was the banging sound real? Am I still awake? Kipp snapped his eyes back open staring at her with burning eyes. "I don't know. We have to go. Go!" He answered pushing her forward with the back of his forearm. "Don't stop."

Stumbling at first, she obeyed and moved silently, but as quickly as she could, and cling onto the small boy as they started to run yet again.

Chion didn't know when they'd lost the rest of the group but she wasn't going to go back looking for them. She knew they had to keep going, the guards could be right behind them.
She had caught up with the dark skinned girl who had picked up Noah at some point and was now carrying him on her back. She imagined the two of them would have made quite the portrait if some one were to paint them in their current state. Both running in terror and carrying kids with big grins on their faces. Actually she wasn't sure if her riders were smiling, but Noah seemed to be enjoying himself despite the current situation.

Seina didn't have much warning that there was a door at the end of the dark tunnel. Reacting just quick enough to turn and ram the door with her shoulder instead of plowing head first into it. It shuddered in it's hinges but didn't budge, throwing her back onto her butt.
"Are you ok?" She asked Noah getting up quickly and helping Noah up. He seemed fine. Seina distractedly turned back to their present concern, and turned the door knob, flinging the door open inward. A cool breeze blew past them, eradicating the hot smokey air instantly.

The sky opened up in front of them, the setting sun low on the horizon painting the dark purple-y clouds bright pink and orange on the bottom edges. It was absolutely beautiful, but if she knew anything about weather in these parts the chilly breeze and huge clouds were precursors to heavy rainfall. They needed to get down off the cliff before night fell.

She stepped closer to the edge and looked down. It thankfully wasn't a straight drop, but it was a very steep slope.
"We should be able to slide down." She said to the kids. The grass just below the door had mostly been worn away. She wasn't sure what by but she guessed this was probably used as a door to throw garbage out of.

Soon, Ashira, the kid she was holding, and Kipp had come out a bit behind them. “Are we away from them yet?” The screams were a bit quieter, but it was still disturbing.

Fred looked at the surroundings as the sun hit him for the first time in what felt like years. “Aww man” he winced at the blinding brightness. He rummaged through his pockets for the dust, there was enough to fight off anyone who somehow got past Take and enough for him to study. “Right, so what now? We are in the middle of nowhere oh wait, we are in the middle of somewhere I just don’t know where exactly.” Fred said taking off his glasses and trying to clean them only making a mess of brown dirt and blood on his glasses. “Does anyone have any CLEAN water?” He put extra emphasis on the word clean. His gaze flickered over Chion and then over Kipp, Ashira, Seina, Noah, Torrin, Emma, and the other kids he couldn’t quite remember their names. He gazed back at the cave, “we are never going back there” he breathed quietly.

The light was absolutely blinding for Elon, after being stuck in the darkness so many days. The air was so pure, so full of oxygen it felt like he had been drinking skim milk for his whole life and now had cream, so rich that for a moment he felt he couldn’t consume it. And the green, on the mountains roots a color he had only seen on his pale, sweaty, dirty skin for days, it reminded him of the trees he belonged to.
Whether it was the light, so blinding after days of red firelight and gloomy tunnels, or the wind stabbing his eyes, the reminder of his life at home, or the freedom, amazing freedom, tears began to form in his eyes, in this pure, perfect moment.
Noah was a slightly more practical sort of boy.
“Are we safe yet?” Noah asked.
(Wait when did Seina learn English am I missing something?)
He looked down the hill that she was peering down. It was just the right hill for sliding down, like the ravine that he envied from The Princess Bride.
“Or are they still following us?”

(She cant. I forget these things when i'm half asleep you know. I'm not home yet i'll write something in an hour or so. I fixed the color.)

(I love that movie! Now I’ve got this voice stuck in my head: “Mawwaige.” Lol. I’ve got a lot of voices in my head)
Ashira looked around, feeling emotional as well. Her wounds seem to sting in the crisp air, but in a good way, like the leftover tang of mint toothpaste. “For now. We have to keep moving, but I think we can afford to set up camp for a bit and rest.” She gently set the little boy she had been carrying down and held her stomach. Now that the adrenaline rush was over, she was conscious of the painful, biting hunger clawing at her.
