The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

She was only half listening to what he was saying. Her mind was focusing in on loud thoughts at the edge of her hearing. They were... Take’s thoughts. But they were in Portsmoth! How was that possible? She tried to run a translation in case, for some reason, his thoughts were being turned into her native language. But they weren’t. “Does Take speak Portsmoth?” she asked suddenly. Now she was focusing in on the thoughts of a desperate girl. Whatever’s going on... it’s nothing good.
"What?" Kipp stopped, making a weird face at the cliff he was hugging to get around. "No. Of course not. We're not from here." He frowned at her strange question, dismissing it and continuing.

Kipp scrunched up his nose, thinking hard, or trying to. The idea that Take could be thinking in Portsmouth wasn't possible. So what was there to think about?
"Maybe it's not Take?" He suggested, pushing past the narrow spot. "You're going to have to hold on there's a root just around the far side." He said instructing Fred how to get around. He wasn't sure how Chion would have made it around maybe those weird badger-mole things were more agile than they looked.

Fred nodded grimly clinging to the root as he edged his way around

“It definitely is him.” She hesitated a little. “You can go find Chion and the others. I’ll catch up by listening in.” She looked around for a hold to boost herself up with.

“Wait Kevin. I can do it” Aria called “come on, if you don’t teleport with us then we will have a serious problem. We can’t leave the others alone out in the middle of nowhere”

Kevin turned to face her. “No. Everyone’s here, but if you keep teleporting we might get stranded. We can’t risk getting separated, and you need to save your energy. I can’t carry you and my birds.” He said. “It was foolish of me to think this would be a good idea.”

"W-what? Why? Wait." He said tripping over his words. He didn't want them to get split up even more, and she could hear who ever it was perfectly well right where she was. Why did she need to go back? "If it's him then that means he's alive. That's a good thing. He..." Kipp was going to say 'he wanted us to escape.' But curiosity won out. "What is he thinking?" If it really is him. mostly he was stalling for time to keep her from leaving.

“Because something isn’t right! Just because Take is alive doesn’t mean he’s not in danger. And there’s someone else there who’s scared. Really scared. I think she’s connected to Take somehow.” Ashira didn’t quite think she should leave either, but what else could she do?

(I’m confused. I had it Ari had teleported a few posts ago so they are in the middle of a forest at the moment)

Only one person? He thought skeptically. "Ok, yes, I guess. He put himself in danger intentionally. So we could get away. Don't you think he'll be pissed if we go back to res-" he stopped mid-sentence knowing that what he was saying wasn't accurate. If thhey went back and actually managed to get him out of there he'd be relieved and happy. "If we go back, and get caught." He tried rewording it, but still he knew it would be easier to keep going in that place with a friend.

Kipp looked down the pathway they were following. They had almost made it to the end. The forest wasn't very far from where they were, and it would be a lot easier to travel in there than the cliff had been.

"Let's get to the trees first. Then we can figure out what we're doing." He said, it would likely be easier to climb back up in the woods, with plants to grab on to. And it would get them out of the rain. Which, though not particularly heavy, was starting to soak through his clothes.
