The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kipp took both Noah's and Emma's hand, and led them to the edge of the hill. There didn't seem to be much in the way of a path. Mostly the foot holds looked to be lumps of grass sticking out of slimy mud, barely hanging on to the earth they grew from.

"Slide?" He suggested to the two kids. He was already filthy and soaked, sliding down a muddy hill wasn't going to make it any worse.
Fred slipped “whoa!” He hit the ground flying down the slope on his backside really fast.

“Sure. And yes, I know where she is. Or, at least, I have a good idea. She got ahead with some of the others from my group, but I still know the area she’s in. It shouldn’t be too hard to track them.” Conversation came so much more easily when her head wasn’t aching from the constant act of high speed translation. When I get back, I’ll ask Kipp to teach me how to speak English, she decided as she led the way. “There’s a hidden tunnel here. It’s unguarded, or it was when I came in. Is there anyone else who’d want to come?” She’d have preferred to bust everyone out at once, but she had to admit that that was probably for a day with a plan that wasn’t so hastily out together.
Jarran pursed his lips together, crossing his arms over his broad chest. "Everyone wants out of here. Most are just too afraid to do anything about it. Even going so far as to betray those who would help them to avoid punishment. Problem is it's hard to tell them apart from the ones who are willing to risk it." He sighed looking at the small tunnel she'd led them to. He wasn't likely to fit through. "I know another -" He was cut off by three guards who rounded the corner dripping wet and anxiously chatting with each other. All three falling silent as they spotted the would be escapees.

"
Hey! Don't you move!" The largest of the three yelled running toward them with a spear lowered.

(I've gotta go bed.)

"Yeah." Maya said, "You have any, uh, powers? Most of the people in this group have them. I don't."

"Yaaaaa!" Alex yelled as they slid down the rocky slope. "Those losers can't catch us!" He exclaimed, then promptly got a mouthful of dust.

Alex drowsily hopped onto Chion. "Why can't we sleep more?" He complained, rubbing the dust out of his eyes.
Cam was surprised by the sudden continuation of her conversation in the forest. “Oh yeah,” she said, shooting Maya a grin. A branch reached down from one of the towering grey-barked trees like a hand offering a shake. “I can talk to plants. And grow them.” A blossom on its branch shriveled and grew into a nut, falling off the branch into her hand. She flicked it up like a quarter but didn’t move to grab it again when it fell into the underbrush. “It’s kinda fun.”

Kipp smiled sleepily down at Noah who had dropped his hand to go down on his own. It was a lot easier to get them to keep moving when they thought of it as a game.
He looked down at Emma who seemed to be a particularly quiet kid. She still held his hand unmoving. Maybe she didnt want to get muddy. Though that seemed pointless considering how covered in dirt they already were.

"You can ride down on my lap if you'd prefer." He said sitting down on the soggy ground. ( @Cluckcluck1215 )

(I had to too lol)
“We don’t mean any harm,” she said, putting her hands up and trying to hide her fear.

Jarran tensed not backing down from the charging guard. "Grafe." He said with a gruff warning tone. Grafe looked up from assisting a small girl into the tunnel. And in a split second he vanished, dashing at blinding speed up the hallway and using his momentum to knock back each of the three guards. Then reappearing back where he was, only having been gone for a mere second. "Come on. We have to go now." He said urgently. The guards were already climbing back to their feet, unharmed by being thrown to the ground. "Jarran you take care of them. Girl, you get in there now." He said to Ashira. He couldn't remember if they'd been introduced earlier, but he couldn't think of her name at the moment.

She hopped into the tunnel, only having to crouch down since she was so short, and helped the small girl along as the others trailed behind them.

“Are you going to starve? That would be impolite to your host, of which provided a delightful meal for you,” Korim said, not trusting Carson’s directions one bit and waving a sandwich under Carson’s nose.
He gave a light laugh, accepting the sandwich. "Thanks," He ate it quickly, feeling a little better afterward

“Anyone?” Korim repeated.
“I could go up into the the canopy,” Kyle offered. “But the sun will be right up in the sky, so it probably won’t do much good.”
“You can try,” Korim said.
Kyle immediately began a scrambled ascent, though it wasn’t all too fast. Cam smiled and whispered something to the tree, and it began to lift Kyle up and up in a small teig wound about his waist. He clutched it as the ground grew increasingly far away. He wasn’t afraid of heights, but he didn’t really trust the tree not to drop him.
He peeked through the canopy, peering all around.
“Good news!” he said. “I can see the mountains. And they’re that way,” when he emphasized that he pointed in the direction of the mountains.
“Great!” Cam said. “Okay, you can put him down now.” The tree promptly dropped Kyle.
Fortunately, Korim caught him easily, though he was now scowling at Cam.
Korim set him on the ground and patted him on the head, earning a scowl as well.

Take stayed silent, not sparing Blair a glance as if he didn’t hear a word she said. But his bottled emotions were starting to reach a breaking point, where everything would spill out. He was suffering on the inside, emotional suffering from what he had been living with for the past few months after he burned Blair the first time. He was truly scared. Scared of burning her again, and now that this deal has been made, it was bound to happen for sure. And he was usually never scared of anything. His irritated face started to waver, flexing the muscles in his cheeks so he stayed stiff, but his eyes were becoming affected by his need to cry. He opened his mouth a little to speak, finally settling his eyes on her. “And... I’ll end up burning you again... leaving you scars even worse than last time...” his breath trembled, “I don’t want.. keep living with the fact that you’ll have to cover up more of your body because of my doing... that I’m adding to more of your scars.” His face struggled to keep its composure, so he tightened up his hoodie so that it hid his face away, leaving his nose poking out. He felt like the vulnerable little kid he used to be, the one who felt fragile and couldn’t do a thing to stop himself from hurting others. He despised feeling helpless.
In the short time of a single second, Blair went from being a few feet beside him, to a couple inches in front of him. She pulled his hood off his face, using the slightest bit of force to lift his chin up with her fingers. "I don't give a damn." She snapped. "It's not you. It's not your fault and I don't blame you. I don't care how many scars I get from him, I will never blame you. So don't you dare blame yourself. Don't sit here and feel guilty for something that isn't your fault." Her voice was harsh, not because she was trying to be mean, but because she was irritated that he thought it was his fault. She never blamed him, and it never crossed her mind that he might blame himself.
She hated it. She hated the fact she could do nothing about the demon, hated the fact that after months she still hadn't found anything that could get rid of him for good, hated that anything she did find came up as a false lead. Her hand fell away from his chin, landing in her lap. "Don't, okay? I can't stand the fact that you do. I love you and I don't want you to be hurting for no reason."
