The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kylan looked back, instantly feeling guilty-- Having completely forgotten about how it drained her.
He turned around, sitting carefully beside her with a caring look on his face. "'Ey, you gonna be okay? I know it's gotta be hard on you." He asked softly, laying his scythe down beside them.
“Yeah I just have to recharge so no teleporting for a few hours while I regenerate. It’s not the easiest thing in the world, it’s hardest for me to teleport that many people. Usually I only take myself or one maybe two other people with me” she turned giving him a weak smile

Kevin closed his eyes as they were sent to his house, arriving in his driveway. He kept his eyes closed for a moment, savoring the familiar smell. Apples and pine trees, with a tiny dash of cow manure mixed into the crystal clear air. A small shiver ran down his spine as the cold midnight air blew in his face and through his hair. Home sweet home.
He opened his eyes, heading up the small steps on the porch. He opened the door, which had been unlocked all this time, and entered the house. Inside had a subtle cinnamon smell, mixed with a few other nice smells. “Come on in. Make yourselves at home,” Kevin said, flicking on the lights. He gently sat his gun on the mantle above the fireplace, taking a step back to examine it. He turned, glancing at the gathering crowd. “You’re probably cold. I’ll go make a fire.” With that, he went back outside to collect some wood from the large pile on the side of his house. Coming back in, he threw the wood in the fireplace and lit it, watching the flames burst brighter.
He brushed his hands off, looking at Aria. “Thank you, Ari,” he said. “There are bedrooms upstairs, and a couple bathrooms. I’m sure you all are tired and would like to get cleaned up.” He said, pointing in the direction of the rooms.
“Much better!” Cam exclaimed, even though it was quite drafty in the house, at least it wasn’t windy. “Uhhh, what are we going to wear to bed?” Somehow, she imagined this huge muscly guy’s wardrobe wasn’t going to fit her. “Who’s going to sleep where?”

“That’s alright. I think I will sit out here for a bit” Aria smiled at him “thanks for letting us use your house Kevin”

Carson nodded gratefully and told Buck to stay close to the house before he went inside fo find a bedroom to relax in for a little while before using a bathroom. He would let the others take care of their needs first. When he had carefully made sure that he wouldn't leave any stains/dirt on the bed from sitting on it, he sat down. He looked out a nearby window, spotting a squirrel. Remembering that he promised Ellie a pet squirrel when they got home, he began to talk to it. After a bit of arguing and conversing, he had convinced it life would be better with Ellie than living outside on its own. He opened the window and the squirrel hopped in, sitting on his shoulder to wait for her. He got up and went down a hallway, looking for her.

Ellie turned spotting Carson “hey, oh my gosh. It’s adorable” she cried petting the squirrels head

“Errr... Sorry to advance on your hospitality, I mean,” Cam amended, scratching the back of her neck and looking up at Kevin sheepishly. “This was a bit of an unexpected visit. I’m still in survival mode I guess.”
These were things she had to worry about in the days past.

As Carson came back downstairs with a squirrel, Kevin frowned. He wasn’t particularly fond of having animals, especially pests, in his house, unless they were his cats. The only reason the chickens were with him was because he didn’t have time to put them in the quarantine coop yet. He was surprised the squirrel was even awake, seeing how late it was.
He turned away. This is going to be fun. He thought.

“Uhhh... I don’t know. For now you’ll have to wear what you’re wearing, unless you want to borrow my clothes. I might have some spare clothes my family left here, I‘ll go look. I’ll go into town to pick something up for everyone tomorrow.” He said. “As for rooms, you’ll have to double up. Women with women, men with men, in case that wasn’t obvious. It’s your choice whether you want to sleep on the ground, or if you feel comfortable sharing a bed.”

“That’s alright. I think I will sit out here for a bit” Aria smiled at him “thanks for letting us use your house Kevin”

Kevin looked down at Aria. “Are you sure? I don’t want you to freeze out here. Maybe you should come in and lie down.”

“Okay” Aria stood walking inside. She saw the squirrel her eyes doubling in size “what. Is. That?!” She whispered. She walked up the stairs glancing over her shoulder at the oversized rat with the bushy tail.

He laughed. "Her name is Hazelnut."
The squirrel moved from his shoulder and onto Ellie's, chattering excitedly
“Carson I think Hazelnut should live outside for the time being. I’m not sure Kevin would want a squirrel in his house” Ellie explained

Kevin took Aria’s arm, gently leading her upstairs. “That, is a red squirrel. They’re common around here, to the point of being pests,” he answered, grimacing. He led her into the closest bedroom. “Can I get you anything?” He asked.

“No I just think I will clean up and then sleep for a bit” Aria smiled “thanks for offering though”
