The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kevin stopped in his tracks, turning to look down at Fred. “You? Pay for the damage? What are you, twelve?” He asked skeptically, looking Fred up and down. He didn’t look like the kind of person that would always have cash on him, especially enough to pay for a can of paint. Even if he did, Kevin doubted Fred would still have it after three months.
“I can afford to by my own can of paint. Although you doing the repainting sounds like a good idea...” it wouldn’t be considered child labor if it’s only in the one spot, right? Kevin wondered.
“Eleven actually and I sold one of my inventions to a company for $1000 but okay whatever I can do to help cover the damage we caused. I’m happy to paint it over” Fred said trying to be as friendly as he could

Kevin raised an eyebrow. His story didn’t sound very believable. If you were smart enough to create an “invention” good enough to sell, then in Kevin’s mind, you were smart enough to know you shouldn’t dig through people’s attics without permission.
He shook his head, refraining from questioning the boy. Chances were Fred was making something up to sound more mature, like a lot of kids Kevin knew did.
“Fine. When I get the paint and a few tools you’re going to repaint it.” He said, glancing up the stairs. Coming to Russia was starting to become a very costly mistake. First the lamp, then the clothes, food, and who knew how many expensive international phone calls. And now the paint and supplies. It hadn’t even been two full days! He dreaded seeing what was going to happen next. Hopefully everyone could keep their dogs, cougar, and wolf under control so they wouldn’t slaughter his animals.
He silently reminded himself it was better here than at someone else’s house. As far as Kevin knew, he was the only one that could pay for any damages without going way into debt.

“Okay” Fred agreed

“Just.. try not to let your anger get the better of you.. threats won’t resolve anything, they only strike fear and further disassociation. Unless you want that.”
Elias was sort of surprised that Blair was able to restrain herself from completely lashing out on Julianna. The last time he truly observed her energy, it wasn’t completely in control and was sporadic to the difficulties of withholding her werewolf side. Now, it was stable, strong, and consistent. Was Take able to do the same with his demon? “Anyways, this is about the demon” Elias glanced at malformed tree that was growing sideways and directed his staff at it, a gentle pulse of light running through it as it twisted into a new form. A temporary bench to accommodate them. Elias took a seat and set his staff down, “Was Take able to.. get rid of it in the other world? Or make it submissive to his will?” he questioned Blair, knowing Take had to deal with repercussions of no longer having the sealing spell.
"Sometime's the only way to get people to listen is to strike fear into them, no matter how horrible that sounds." Blair murmured, mostly to herself. It wasn't a great mindset, heavily influenced by the wolf. Her hold on it had strengthened over the months, being around Take almost all the time and meeting others who experienced similar experinces, even if they weren't quite werewolves. But it still was a constantly noise in her head.
"He sealed it away, yes. For a while it was...hard. The spell you put broke a few days after and the demon was...relentless, to say the least." Unconsciously her hand when to one of her wrists, her gaze drifting as she leaned against the twisted bench-tree instead of sitting. "But then he found someone to cast a new one." She looked towards Elias, carefully considering her words. "He's going to be okay. He's happy. This world is...so cruel and so cold. But Borealis..." her gaze pulled away from him, her eyes burning. "Borealis is better then you could ever imagine."

Elias rested his gaze on a trail of ants traveling across the dirt right in front of him, he clasped his hands, leaning forwards a bit. He was satisfied with her words, wishing he had put a more reliable, stronger spell that didn’t have to be recast once a month. To whoever took over that task.. I’m eternally grateful. He didn’t have the slightest idea of what Borealis was like, but it had to be better than here, where they were stricken with a pandemic. “If only you all knew what was going on here before you decided to come back..” he murmured, “This virus is cruel and unforgiving to those with prexisting conditions... and I’m speculating that it may only get worse from here.” his tone was melancholic, expressing that he most likely knew people who had it, or even himself.

(Alright time for Hana to become active)

Having watched the chickens for some time, Hana decided to go further out on the property, in the direction of the apple orchards. She didn’t pay no mind to Aella and Ciro, as she already left before they got to the chicken coops. Once she was surrounded by the sea of apple trees, she couldn’t help but pick one off for herself. They were a perfect crimson red, with tinges of green, but she quickly indulged herself on the fruit instead of lingering too long on its appearance. It held a crisp, tart, but slightly sweet taste that she easily found with each bite of the apple. Having not eaten anything since yesterday, it made her finish off the fruit quickly just to have something in her stomach. Maybe I should’ve had one of those pancakes... She dropped the now bare apple core by her feet and snatched herself another apple. She seated herself down against the trunk of the apple tree she was slowly picking off, finding the orchards to be charming and peaceful; but at the same time, lonely.

"If I had known what was going on here, I don't think I would have come back." Blair murmured, tracing lines in the forest debris with her boot. Her thoughts quickly swept her away. Her parents were fine, she knew that. But what about her brother? Alyssa and Isabelle, and their parents? Not that she particularly cared for Isabelle anymore, but a part of her still worried about her. And they were human, just...human. Nothing more. "Now we have to deal with this on top of everything else."

Elias gave a small hum to her words, remaining silent for some time before speaking again. “Just be wary if you ever leave this place to go into a town.. I don’t know the situation here with the virus and all.” He advised firmly, rising to his feet and grabbing his staff. It was best to make his departure soon and get some rest; after all it was past midnight in California. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a small burlap bag that seemed to be empty. He had a feeling she’d recognize it almost immediately, “Can you do me a favor and give this to Take when he meets up with you? There’s a box with some of his belongings that I thought he would need... also I think there’s something for you in it too, I’m not sure— it’s been a while since I packed it.” he explained, extending the bag out to her.

(I... exist?)

Cam gaped, realizing Blair had mostly fought Julianna for her sake. “You two, stop it, please!” she pleaded. “There’s no reason to fight, we’ve only been stuck together for less than 24 hours, and there’s plenty of room to hide.”
Blair hissed as Juliana managed to hit the inside of her leg the right way, a twinge of pain running up her leg. She grabbed her harder, yanking her closer so she didn't get away. "I've done worse. Don't think I wouldn't." She growled, shoving her away forcefully and taking a step back. "She deserves it. She's an idiot who needs to be put in her place."
Cam clasped her mouth together, not sure what to say to that.
“Alright that’s enough now” Elias stepped in, looking between the two on edge girls, “Please, Blair. I have to discuss something with you, accompany me will you?” he asked, taking a couple steps in the opposite direction of Julianna. It was best to leave this spot quickly before things escalated again, possibly into something worse.
Blair turned her golden glare onto Elias as he cut into their argument. She was about to snap, when she realized it wasn't his fault and that he had nothing to do with it. Her golden eyes faded back to pale yellow, and her claws retracted. "Sorry," she huffed, backing away from Juliana. She followed after Elias, still visibly irritated. "She constantly insults us, and I'm getting sick of it." She took a deep breath, glancing at him. "What did you want to say?"

Juli stumbled forward tripping over a root and landing on her face. She stayed down, hiding the cocky grin that had spread across her face. She was right, Blair wasn't going to do anything, at least not without more provocation. She might have been the one on the ground, but she was clearly the winner this time. She picked herself up as the two walked further into the trees.

“So now it’s us two,” Cam said, trying to keep the disappointment out of her voice as she looked at Julianna. Where did she even go to when she went into the woods? Here, apparently.

Juliana looked Cam up and down, returning the judgmental stare. Cam was one of the few girls in the group she didn't have a specific problem with, yet.
"Doesn't have to be." She said, frowning at Cam impatiently. If she didn't want to be there with her she could leave.

Cam considered the options... leave the forest or have to deal with Miss "You're All Freaks" Grumpypants. Cam kind of liked the forest and also wanted to be a nuisance, so she held her ground. And maybe she could find something in common with this insufferable girl. One might say a stubborn streak, but Cam only found herself to be stubborn around Julianna. She seemed to have that effect on everyone. "No, I don't mind it here," Cam said cooly, leaning against the deeply-furrowed trunk of a pine.
