The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

She nodded slowly “thanks”

“No problem!” Kevin said, beaming down at Aria as if he had just solved all of her problems.
Contradicting what he had told her a few minutes ago, Kevin took a large swig from his mug, coughing at the bitter after taste. This was certainly not similar to what he was used to.
He peered down, examining the mugs contents. Shrugging, he took another drink. “I’m going to wander, okay?” Kevin said, raising his voice as the music picked up. He gave her two thumbs up, turning his back and weaving through the tables, looking over the gruff men that occupied them.

Aella stood awkwardly at the bar, holding a drink in her hands. She hadn't a clue what it was, just that a really pretty girl came up to her, said something Aella didn't understand, and left.
It wasn't that she disliked crowds, she actually liked them, but it seemed as though the group was making a point to not go near her. They had dispersed, spreading out through the bar and staying in their own groups. Except for her, where she leaned against the countertop, and cautiously drank the bitter tasting drink she had been given, observing the interior of the place, and trying to ignore the eyes on her.
She was being stared at by some of the men, some seeming scared of the occasional flame that would spark on her fingers and eyeing her face warily, and she assumed they were looking at the scar. Others were staring at her with disgust or confusion. She hated being stared at. So, she made herself appear as small as possible, sinking away from the judgmental stares. I just want to sleep...

Blair laughed quietly, taking a quick sip of her drink but quickly setting it down, screwing her face up. "No," she told her once she had recovered from the bitterness of her drink. "They're about as human as can be, unfortunately. They've given up trying to understand werewolves at this point." She shrugged, glancing out the window briefly before back at Hana. "It gets frustrating, but there's nothing I can do about it. They're still my parents, regardless of what they think of me."
Hana silently tapped her nails on the side of her already empty mug, thinking of her own parents. Her mother being the most strict and coldest woman she’d ever met, and her father was the man who left her his surname and went off to have another family. ‘They’re still my parents.. regardless of what they think of me..?’ She snorted a little, “Parents hm? They’re always so frustrating.. but yeah.. what can you do?” the alcohol was already setting in for her after just one mug, and her emotions were unraveling. “But hey, I think you’re really great though.. like amazing, Take is lucky to have you. I wish I had a girlfriend like you.” she admitted, curling up and hugging her mug.
Thela nodded at Korim, with a small smile. "Very well, you can make payment arrangements with my husband." She said entering the second room to help Petre with moving the things down stairs.

As she reentered the common room, she lifted the guitar like instrument she held above her head. "MUSIC NIGHT! Everyone." She shouted setting it on the nearest table top, and returning to work gathering empty glasses, and cleaning up messes. A few of the men started arguing loudly over whose turn it was. And music started shortly after that, with more instruments joining in as they arrived.
Take took the chance to get away from his new ‘friends’ to check on Blair, who was sitting next to Hana at the bar. He came up to them with his drink in hand and a giddy smile on his face. “Man, those old perverts sure like to live it up, I’m glad I got to distract them for a while.” he said, glancing back at the musical group they got going. He only joined them in the first place to keep them from staring at Blair without being violent. Take peered at Hana, who was curled up and murmuring to herself. He gave Blair a questioning look and daringly proceeded to poke the tipsy woman’s mask, which earned him a swat on his hand and getting his drink taken away for her own consumption. He let out a laugh, finding her behavior hilarious before returning his attention to Blair. “You wanna like, dance or somethin?” he asked her.

Cam frowned at Kipp, even though they were in a dimension where American rules didn't apply. I expected better from him.
"You're not old enough to drink!" she lamely accused.
Noah looked down at her confusedly from his perch. "Isn't everyone old enough to drink?"
(When my dad drank soda and drove a vehicle I always accused him of drinking and driving because I didn't know what it meant.)
(Hahah, as a kid I thought it was weird that you weren't allowed to drink anything while driving. My parents explained it pretty early though.)

Cam's judgement hurt more than anyone else's would have. Why was she mad? He was trying to help. He had promised himself he'd never touch alcohol, he didn't know why he had, or why it had been so easy. But it was done, there was no changing it. He sighed loudly, frustrated with himself and with Cam. He couldn't ever do anything right.

"You would have yelled at me for putting it there full. Noah, or some other kid would have taken it." He tried not to sound angry, but wasn't exactly successful. He didn't want to argue with her, but he didn't want to leave without defending himself either. "What are you gonna do? Set the cup down full? Should I put Noah back down, and you can deal with him? What about all the other kids? You know, like them." He said pointing toward a couple of the others. He knew he should stop talking, he'd said more than enough.

Blair's gaze snapped to Hana immediately, tilting her head slightly at her words. A grin pulled at her lips as Hana curled up, murmuring something in a language she didn't understand. She was silent for a while, processing what she had said. People didn't tell her she was great, and even if they did, it was typically a back handed compliment, except for Take. "You're not all that bad yourself," she joked quietly, looking at her mug. "You're pretty amazing, really."
She straightened up when Take came over, grinning at him. "If you hadn't, I would've had to teach them a lesson." She snorted, leaning back against the bar. She gave a small laugh when Hana smacked Take's hand away, stealing his drink from him. She glanced at Hana at Take's question, not really wanting to leave the tipsy woman alone at the bar with the creepy men around, but decided she would just have to keep a half an eye on her. "Yeah, sure." She set her empty mug down, hopping off her stool, taking his hand in hers.

Juliana decided the corner Aella had hidden herself in was the safest spot, and they did at least have not wanting to murder innocent creatures in common. So even though their first impressions of each other were really bad, maybe they could get along after all.

"Hi." She said hesitating to sit next to the red head.

“No problem!” Kevin said, beaming down at Aria as if he had just solved all of her problems.

Aria ordered another and took small sips. She slammed the glass down on the table “whoa that’s strong” she said grinning stupidly

Aella flinched abruptly when Juliana approached her, not hearing or seeing the girl at first. She looked down at her, noting she was one that had fought with her. Her brows drew together as she studied her, avoiding eye contact. "Hi...?" She answered, unsure about her. She did call me crazy...
"Can I...help you, or...?"

"No, not really." She said, sitting herself down, as though her acknowledged existence was an offering to sit down. "So about, when we first came here." She began, looking straight ahead, not at Aella, and swirling her finger around in her drink. "I didn't think aliens were real, but I guess you were right all along." She leaned sideways as though she were sharing a secret with her. "This place is full of aliens." She whispered smiling and returning to ignoring the chaos in the rest of the room by taking a long drink of the strange beer. It wasn't like any she'd had back home, a bit stronger.

Take interlaced their fingers together tightly as he made his return to where he was sitting previously. Although the table was now abandoned, full of empty mugs. The men had gone to the makeshift dance floor, all gathered as they danced along with the fast paced music. They swung their arms about, stomping their feet to the tempo and singing along. The high energy was intoxicating, and it made Take sway and bob his head to the music. He flashed a smile at Blair before leaning his head down next to her ear. "I don't know how to dance." he finally confessed.

Hana uncoiled herself from her sitting position and slumped over the counter, downing the leftover alcohol in Takes mug. She looked about the bar area until she settled her gaze on Aella and Juliana who were conversing in a corner. She giggled to herself and propped her chin up on the countertop, staring at them with a gleeful smile on her face.
