The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Nat disbelievingly waved a hand at him, and in doing so, realized said hand was decently battered. "Rad," she declared and, before she could overthink it, licked her hand in appreciation. The blood even tasted fresh. "Anybody remember who I fought? Do I need to finish it?"
"That would be yourself." Juli growled, rolling over to put her back to Nat who had woken her up. She dramatically lifted the jacket she'd used as a pillow up into the air and dropped it over her head to block out the light. She wasn't sure where it had come from, or who's it was, but she had it now, and had no intention of returning it.
Nat whistled in appreciation for herself. "Must've been pretty dang blitzed, eh, self o' mine?" She thought about flexing her drinking muscle for a hot second before realizing the unfortunate impossibility of esophagus brandishing.
Charlie watched Nat lick her bloody hand and was somehow not completely weirded out by it. Only sort of weirded out. “You’re gonna get- never mind.”
Suddenly noticing the drama happening around him, he quietly exited the scene.
Hey- is that my jacket?! Sure enough, Juliana had his battered jacket and he was only dressed in a t-shirt. No wonder he was so cold.

“No we’re not,” Cam agreed. Then she said something you really shouldn’t say around a middle-schooler, but I’m tired of all this dodginess. “But we could be,” she said, looking at Kipp. He had to remember dancing with her, didn’t he? That was a good enough reason to be a thing.
Colby popped up from underneath a local table. "You really could be," he agreed helpfully, surprisingly invested despite his normal abstinence from romance. There was just something irresistibly endearing about what these two tried so hard at pretending they didn't have. And, wait, woah, what was this? Progress???

Cam jumped at the sight of a fox popping out from beneath the table before realizing it was just Colby. “We could be,” she agreed, before she could even remember what she was agreeing to.

(this made me laugh. This is great)
Like any character whose owner is drawing on the job, Cam’s index finger stuck in the air while her mouth dropped open. Then came the drawn-out inescapable yawn which she couldn’t force anything coherent past. When she was finally ready to speak, Kipp already had, and it was disappointing, but it was also true. She bent her finger.

Fred grinned “my work here is done. Where’s the food?” And off he went to go find the breakfast

“Uh huh” Fred smirked “sure”
Kipp wasn't particularly appreciative of Fred's teasing. It wouldn't have bothered him at all if they hadn't been in front of everyone, but here they were.

He couldn't understand how Fred could be so shockingly aware of how he felt about Cam, but completely oblivious to how uncomfortable he was having his feelings out on display. He could be happy pretending it was a possibility for a little while couldn't he? Why did Fred have to say anything, before he'd had a chance. He'd rather Cam reject him on his own terms, not because Fred couldn't keep his mouth shut.

Kipp stared at Cam. Breathing was overrated, his brain decided it was unneeded while attempting to process what she said.

"We... could." He said barely audibly, agreeing with what he couldn't believe he'd heard. His face was burning, and the sharp breath that he took to stay in the conscious world didn't seem to help it subside.

Fred cast a glance over his shoulder smiling at Kipp and giving him the thumbs up

Cam looked him in the eye. “So why don’t we?” she asked. Kipp looked like a rotting tomato, red with purple spots, but she still thought he was adorable, especially since he was a whole inch shorter than her. It’s probably not a good idea to have distractions while you’re trying to save the world, but the people in movies do all the time anyways, so why not?

How about because I'm absolutely terrified of screwing it up? He thought in answer. Having everyone watching over his shoulder wasn't exactly reassuring. He'd have preferred it be just them that knew about it at least for a while if they were going to date. That apparently wasn't possible with the current group. Fred wasn't the first one to stick their nose where it didn't belong.

"Do you want to go out with me?" He asked, still not fully convinced that what she was saying was that she did. After all, she could be saying it sarcastically like 'Yes, we could be together, but we're not for good reason.' And he was too stupid to read between the lines and figure that out.

Colby had since relocated to the foreign land behind the bar counter and was currently scouting for any breakfast-relevant apparatuses. "Hey Fred!" he called in timing very convenient for the two unfortunate epicenters of interest. "What do you say to helping me whip up something worthy for our group of champions?" Big talk for someone who had yet to exhume any ingredients even. Well, assuming the oversized paper bag of powdery white substance was what it appeared to be, they did have flour. "I'm not too sure how refrigerators work here."

“Sure” Fred agreed enthusiastically,
