I have a conundrum. I'm not sure exactly what to do with Maria. I know that she'll be around 14/15, and she has powers, of being able to tell what powers and limited history people have(magic or otherwise) from their eyes, but there are a few things I can't figure out, like is the super wise and mature to go along with her powers, being to her previous self kind of what rex was to emmet in the lego movie 2, and shocking Haddie, or does she still retain her innocence, surprising everyone every so often with deep insights stemming from her powers?
Side note, I'm thinking she got sucked into Borealis and didn't actually die, if that's ok @AMERAUCANAS4REAL. I'm thinking either she survived by cutting her niche into this world, maturing much more quickly than most young ones, or she was discovered by peoples of Borealis and kept either to protect innocence(good for the sake of good) or as an asset to assess possible threats in other villages or something, either way retaining her innocence, bright eyes, and the shape of the girl Haddie loved.

Lined up behind two rentals from the library. That I really must finish. In order to read it.
