Apparently that honey bee phoned a friend ... I might need to rethink putting the oranges where they are
next to the sidewalk

I don't normally have a bee problem on my oranges. Just an ant problem.

I do sometimes have a bee problem on one of the nectar feeders. I had one hanging close to the house one year and the bees had just surrounded it in a big cloud.
That was not fun to deal with.

Don’t blame that innocent pot licker... it’s the dux not the dog...

Ralphie has lobbied the NAOA (North American Oriole Association) to boycott all houses with resident dux... it was in the fine print of the stimulus legislation, lol

I always seem to have some slackers and some over achievers.

I was not home this afternoon to watch them, but the way the day ended, they better have loaded the hive with pollen.

The hive is open.

They lost their privilege to free sugar syrup.

They have a couple frames packed full of it.

I took a slow motion video of them, pretty cool crash landing towards the end.

There still is not much blooming here. The Saskatraz are going through a quart a day while the Italians are not taking nearly as much.
