I have a patch of oregano that is sizable. It's in full bloom at the moment, and the hum coming from that area is quite loud. It is fairly close to my swarm hive, and the bee highway is impressive between the two. I think I need a cross walk installed to safely get across. Now I'm wondering what kinda of flavor profile oregano honey has... LOL.

Walking around the hives early this morning and they are reeking with the aroma of honey and heavy. Doing a looksee this Tuesday and hoping to pull the 2 mediums and doing a Formic Pro treatment if frames are 80% capped. Drone brood is being ejected along with mature Drones. To Do list for winter prep.

You can get a cheap refractometer for around $20/25 bucks. Well worth it.

I still do the horizontal shake at 80% capped, no drip it gets extracted.

I extracted all weekend, and the smell of honey turns my stomach right now.
I think I'm done for the year, I may add a couple supers in case there's a good knotweed flow.

Here they are struggling due to the drought. Not a single flower so far, despite watering them daily and those in the containers twice a day.
