The Honey Factory

you never know... they’re getting more common.... we had one 1/2 mile from our house less than a month ago...

And this guy was making headlines as he was waltzing through Illinois the other day looking for picnic baskets to swipe

But MO doesn’t have a bear hunting season at this point, so here you just have to sit and wait for one and then play ā€˜tag’ like this if one happens by šŸ˜‰

He’s lucky it was a young stupid bear..

Back when we had dumps everywhere, I caught a cidiot put a toddler on the back of a huge bear. He was doubly lucky, the bear was eating fish guts someone threw away, and I didn’t take his kid from him and throw him in the pokey.

If Fred keeps doing this stuff we will have a video of people saying at his wake, ā€œYep, Old Fred was just plumb crazyā€

I hear ya, people should be accountable for where they’re putting their toddlers... toddlers are just so sticky...

my luck I’d be the next person to come along and sit on that bear and get all that toddler ick all over my dungarees 😔

that’s an old video I saw years ago, I just always think of it when the subject of bears come up.... for all I know Fred is dead already from goosing the wrong bear 😳

So today I got a screened bottom board with insert . Just to see if mites are present . Thinking of making a screened inner cover and shim the top cover for ventilation in this heat . May just screen the hole in the inner cover . They are in the shade so that helps . Will wait awhile before working them . They should need another brood box by end of the month I think . New hive from swarm trap so free bees . I think they occupied in early June .

I pretended I was R2Elk today..

Wait.... What???

Somebody put their toddler on the back of a wild bear for a photo op?

I almost killed my ex-husband for putting our toddler on the tire of a monster truck for a picture. šŸ‘æ
