We shall all look forward to that. When I get time I will tell you the tale of the bee that loved me, the bees that hated me and the woman that hated me and the bee that loved me.
Mine were doing some of this too. I just cleaned up the frames, threw the extra away and put them back in.Does anyone know why my bees seem to be building comb on the tops and bottoms of the frames instead of on the frames themselves?? Most of the frames are wax, I think 2 may be the plastic type. I haven't checked in a couple of days, but the last time I checked (when I found all the comb on the side of the frame feeder) that was what I was finding (except for that comb on the feeder).
When I lifted off the top brood box, 2 frames from the bottom brood box came out too!
I really wasn't expecting that!![]()
My nuc has a queen now she is gorgeous. She is nearly pure black with only the thinnest of orange stripes. she should start laying eggs soon i will check back around June 10th. she should have mated and have been laying eggs by then.
I have never had a problem finding my queens, and i have never had a marked queenMy latest queen is beautiful too, and she wears a bright blue jewel on her back. Sure makes it easy to see her.
Thanks, that makes me feel better!Mine were doing some of this too. I just cleaned up the frames, threw the extra away and put them back in.
I have some of them stealing wax from the frames in the honey super and moving it to the brood boxes. Jerks.
My latest nuc has no lappers in the whole hive!
