Dam you make a dandy Lion look good.
Thank you. This is not the first time I was told this.

I did one years ago in an online photo contest. The comment from another excellent photographer was that she would never look at dandelions the same again.

I was inspired by all your beautiful flowers, Bob (and that dandelion bloom (alone), WOW!

Anyway, I did get these, such as they are:

I believe this one is called Meadow Foam

And of course red & white clovers

I went and sniffed the hives here at the house as it was getting dark... they have a nice funky summer smell at the moment... sorta like a wet straw smell...

saw them washboarding on the landing board for the first time this year...

It’s been a while since I could sit right up close to the hive at the house without having guard bees tell me to get lost...

right now these hives are downright cuddly... with incoming bees zooming over my shoulder and porch bees looking me in the eye and paying me no never mind at all...

Aren’t they cute!

I went into my hive today.

The slow hive is still slow. I did not see that queen. She is there I think, but look how sparse the brood is. These are her fuller two frames.

This is from the strong hive:

I moved two frames from the strong to the weak. I figure it was about 7,000 brood, they also had lots of honey. The brood was sealed.

The strong hive deep was over twice as heavy as the weak ones.

I will have better pictures coming.
