Yes just enough comb for brood 2 or 3 by about 4 inches . Honey is in a sack maybe a teaspoon or less . They love to build in straw or a old mouse nest .

Dad told me how he used to rob their honey . Put a gallon jug with some water near the entrance . When they fly over it in they go and drown . Not a lot of bees in a colony . Once you catch the bee you can rob them .

Checked the new swarm hive . 6 frames filled out and full of nectar . No eggs so newly mated queen . Black locust is in bloom here . Good bee forage . I did not see the queen .

I took videos of my bees today, that Russian hive is going crazy. I will open them Wednesday or Thursday.

I might have to add a super. I don’t want them getting crowded.
