I pulled all the syrup feed off yesterday. The wild Black Cherry is coming on, Holly then the Blue Berries. Seems like when they get syrup they do that ugly wet cap thing. Natural nectar gets that nice crowned white wax.

Ralphie told me the other day he went out in his bee suit and crocks. The bees found the holes in his crocks and stung him through his socks
I had no sympathy

The split I did on April 22 has exploded! Going in May 2nd to pull following boards as the night temps are now in the mid 50s and give them the other 5 frames of drawn comb and Apivar, keeping them on syrup with natural nectars starting to come on also.

No, frames have cup(s) with eggs and capped cell, more or less a walk away or maybe call it a Queenless NUC, original hive the bees were boiling out the top of the top box. Won't be taking any thing from this new crew this year.

Started to check the hives for queen release. Got two hives done when it started raining.
