I keep mine planted in soil, but I root cuttings in water. I tried rooting in soil but didn't have as much success. However, I find if I keep my cuttings in water for too long they begin to rot.
Yes that’s imo best way to get the cuttings started then transfer to soil I use a pot with a hole in the bottom set in a pot tray and keep it filled with water
 
Anyone with experience with Norfolk pine tree? I keep it outside in spring and summer sadly a storm came through and blew the pot over spilling all the soil everywhere and tree and root ball bare 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m currently out of soil but plan on getting some this morning will it be ok once it’s repotted? I’m so upset I’ve grown this sweetie from a 3 inch plant to almost 3 feet!
