The ideal poultry thread!

Ordered 2x this year and once last year. Last year I loved it. Got about 2/3 pullets in st run and only 1 that wasn't what I ordered.

This year.....

Well first shipping stress killed like half of them, don't blame the hatchery one bit and they were more than willing to work with me to get what I lost and them constantly let me add things to my second order.

But I'm getting a lot of pet quality this year. All my silkies I ordered have something wrong with their back toes (missing one, conjoined toes, extra nails) And I've gotten 3 birds at least with the wrong comb. Also kept getting substitutes

I have never ordered silkies from them but i feel now like they may be going downhill a bit they used to have shamos asils modern game white-faced black Spanish and they don't even sex their ducks anymore I don't know. but I do recommend them I'm just disappointed a bit with what they've done

I ordered from them for June 16 hatch. I have never done the mail-order chickens before. I just didn't see the breeds I wanted at the local feed stores. All were easter-eggers, RIRs and barred rocks. I ordered 20 chicks, all pullets, all mixed (no bantams)

My dozen chicks are healthy and thriving at 3 weeks old.

I just got 10 bantam chicks from them and they are all pretty and healthy. :)
It’s my first time ordering from ideal.

Here’s some pictures of my chicks. 60A2F3E9-A3B4-439A-BF52-1A707A455C86.jpeg D1A4073C-8D60-434D-AE17-B79456EF530C.jpeg 11E0EE43-6E74-42C1-98D6-1F696C5D4E78.jpeg 6CC120DC-5276-406B-8512-072B648D9318.jpeg C30145CB-59C2-4E40-A029-CDC668FC401D.jpeg
