The Ignis Brotherhood ~^~ A Technology Roleplay ~^~

The scent of wildflowers permeated the air. The clouds hung, soft white cotton balls floating in the perfect eggshell blue of the sky. Rin's hazel eyes analyzed it, looking for patterns and shapes.

She'd already found them all though. The clouds and sky were simply a picture pasted onto the ceiling of her apartment. The wildflowers were potted plants. The wallpaper was different nature scenes. She even had tapes of birdsong, wind and rain.

This was her illusion.

Rin closed her eyes. Reality check. A fool's paradise. That's all it was. The silly fantasies that the cramped apartment held were simply that: fantasies. She rose from the floor and strode to the window. There: reality. That was what mattered right now. Wishing never changed a thing.

((Nice start!))

Aspen reached his hover-cycle, put the container of food into a back hatch compartment, then swung into the set as it purred to life. Before taking off, he mentally accessed the cellphone implant in his left ear, and called a number that he had been meaning to for awhile.
"Hello?" A youthful women's voice answered.
"It's me, Aspen. How are you, Lexa?" Aspen replied.
Lexa sighed, "I'm fine... What do you want?"
"I need a favor, can I meet you somewhere to talk?" His tone was low.
"Yeah, sure, I'll send coordinates to you later. I'll be bringing some friends along, of course." Lexa said, more seriously then before.
Aspen leaned back slightly in the seat, and furrowed his brow, "I'm not going to arrest you or anything, I'm coming to make a deal."
"Sure, but you're one of them Scitis now, you could be trying to spring a trap, can't trust you anymore." She said sarcastically, but her undertone was not.

"Right." Aspen said firmly, then ended the call. He wasn't surprised that she didn't trust him, but she knew him and he had made deals with the Claudos in the past, and he had never turned them in or rung the alarm. He pulled out into traffic and sped off to his apartment, mind on the conversation he just had with his old friend.

Matthew had overheard Aspen's conversation, but, as he only heard Aspen's side of the conversation, just assumed he was talking to a friend. But he had said something about arresting them? Why would he arrest them? Matthew wondered as he slipped around crowds of people.
