Hi, just wanted to share a few pictures of my Jubilee Orpington pullets that I picked up last week.
Fred- 6 week old rooster. The only egg out of 14 shipped eggs that hatched.

I hope you can keep him, he looks like he's going to be pretty!

I feel your pain. I picked up 18 eggs when I went through Raleigh and ended up with 4 cockerels and only 3 pullets. I didn't think the lady did a good job packing the eggs (I didn't open them until I got home and they were upside-down in the cartons). I gambled and had the same lady ship 18 eggs (stressing the proper side up) and she took a clear PLASTIC egg carton, added ONE layer of bubble wrap and stuck it in a flat rate USPS box. Only one out of 18 eggs hatched and it turned out to ba another cockerel. It has been over 6 months and I'm hoping for eggs soon so I can add some pullets.
Oh, Lucky, I have been just wanting one for a long time.... I love orpingtons, my favorite breed.... I am going to order some Lav orps next spring, from malapinefarm. Don't have any orps yet, but I am obsessed with my friends BOs!
