The Incubators Thread!!! Come Join And Learn!!!

They all still look like they are doing ok. They are starting to really fill up them eggs now.

If you put some of yours in the incubator, let us know.

Hey, by the way, how is your grandmother doing now? Is she any better?

My hatching update:

I know I was supposed to wait until tomorrow to remove the automatic turner, but I did it today because I will be busy tomorrow. I don't think that removing it 1 day early is going to matter any. Everything in there is still looking good so far. None of the 6 eggs in there are stinking or anything, so I'm hoping that all 6 of my new Splash and Blue Australorps will be popping out to see the New Year 2017 in!

I'm going to be ordering some shipped Black Australorp eggs, for my next hatching. I will need some of the Blacks to work on the better lacing on the Blues.

This might be a dumb question but I'm new to incubation. What % humidity is the incubator suppose to be? My neighbor told me 90, other sites have said 45 or 60. Right now my humidity is 72, is that to high or low? Thanks for making this thread and answering my questions

It depends on what kind of eggs that you are trying to hatch out. Try checking this link below out. It should help you decide on where you need to be at for it:

Your welcome! I'm incubating chicken eggs too for a New Years hatch.

Me too! I'm doing mostly Easter Eggers and a few Rhode Island Reds. I sell most of my eggs to all my city friends who love fresh free range chicken eggs. But it's cold here now and my hens have slowed down on egg laying so I have been stocking up eggs and now I'm incubating to have some ready mid January. It's really exciting.

Good luck on your hatch!

Hello there - I know this is not the first time someone has asked this question but I am thinking on purchasing an incubator. Can I have some suggestions on which brand to use from you experienced hatchers?
