There is someone here that doesn't think chicken math is cute or funny lol... However we are w/o power and the first thing plugged into the generator was my chick heater and bators

I will most likely be somewhat like that come closer to this coming spring. My hatchery hens have been sold and are now gone. All of my quality pullets will have eggs big enough to hatch out then, and my incubator can only hold 41 eggs at a time. Gees, I might have to get another incubator before then?

I just put 7 of my Australorp eggs in the bator. Don't think they are fertile but the rooster is crowing at 4 in the morning so he is maturing... we will see

I haven't seen my boy mating yet and he is still not above the old girls yet but i thought i may as well try... I will know in a couple of days if any are fertile.

I need to find a place where incubators are reviewed and rated. I need to make a purchase of 1, not too big, just around 10 to 20 eggs perhaps. I have not done artificial incubation before. I am looking for one that is economical and pocket book friendly yet not to sacrifice integrity or quality!

I have a friend, bless her, that is using her incubator for 19 eggs I gave her. She is going to let me know when problems may arise, and we are going to candle on Weds. She is teaching me little bit of what she knows with regards to her incubator.

Hi Tia. I cannot be of much assistance but i can say that a lot of people rave about their Brinsea incubators... i think they are a good way to start! And they are one of the sponsors of this site. Hope this helps
