I have a friend, bless her, that is using her incubator for 19 eggs I gave her. She is going to let me know when problems may arise, and we are going to candle on Weds. She is teaching me little bit of what she knows with regards to her incubator.
I haven't seen my boy mating yet and he is still not above the old girls yet but i thought i may as well try... I will know in a couple of days if any are fertile.
Have you found out if they are or not, yet?
I dont think any are. Its only day 4 but the ones i candled looked clear although they are dark and porous! A friend said that he saw the rooster mating just the other day so if these dont end up being Fertile, i will try again in a month or so
If he looks like he is making a good connection during the mating, then he should be fertilizing them.
I havent actually seen him so i will bave to keep an eye out
None were fertile.... cracked them open. Im going to wait a couple months before i try again and know they are fertile. Worth the try though
It's early for my orps but I can ususlly start to see something the AMs w/ them I can and these were shipped expensive eggs the last batch was scrambled grrrr. Unfertilized eggs is frustrating. Austro didn't u have a single chick hatch I may be in that situation today until my others hatch tomorrow what did U do??
