There's a good reason I refuse to watch movie versions of my favorite books.

When I read a book, I like to imagine it. If I was to watch a movie of my favorite book, it would ruin the image I imagined. The images on the cover of the book (and sometimes in the book) help with the imagination process, but a movie would mess that up.

I've been playing Minecraft for 12 or so years, and so I was really looking forward to the movie until they actually released the official concept.
To me, it feels like Minecraft tried to become live action and got stuck halfway in between
