If the battery can be taken out sun drying is the best thing you can do. Even if you can't get the battery out. Let it dry for a while.

I know how to disassemble stuff, so that's what I would do, but it's hard not to botch it if you don't know what you're doing.

I'll have to tell my mom this if she ever gets it wet, since we know how to get the battery out because her old phone doesnt charge and she has to charge it with her new phone.. long story

She should back the stuff on that phone up right away. Presumably, that's water damage, and ideally don't want the phone to die with all of your stuff on it.

Thankfully all her contacts are already on her new phone and she doesnt take photos, etc, so she's all set. I dont know if its water damage... I dont think she has gotten it wet, but it is all cracked from falling...
