The Jersey GIANT!!!

Need help with some questions about the jersey Giants hen be put in a regular smaller flock with a regular rooster ??? your help would be greatly appreciated on these answers thank you sincerely blackdragon 4972

That shouldn't be a problem. The hens are super docile. As long as you monitor how they get along just in case your JG hen gets picked on but i wouldn't expect that

Hi I have quite a bit information on our website about Jersey Giants. Here is a photo taken this month of a Black Jersey Giant cockerel. He was hatched January 5, 2015. http://www.mariasjerseygiants.com

A Jersy Giant should have green legs. An Australorp should have black legs.
Dominique should have a white head spot and a rose comb.

Green legs on a Jersey Giant? No, I don't think so. The SOP says "nearly black with a tendency toward willow; black preferred. Underpart of feet yellow"
So, no. Not green.

Here is my baby Jersey Roo.
He is about two and a half to 3 weeks right now.
But he is about 1 week and a half in this picture.
He is already much bigger than the australorp and dominique who are both the same age as him.
When they are older you can tell which is the JG because of their size.

He is already a sweet little baby boy
