So, I check nearly 50 breeders on the internet I call and email them for peachicks, most were already sold out or there websites were just old and they werent selling anymore...

Soooo, then I decided to post up on the BYC forums and got a couple responses but no definites.

After that I gave up and went to chat with the local chicken breeder that sells down our road. He had ducks, chickens, geese ect and I asked if he ever had any peachicks, he said "Yea, but I can't make any money off them. I got them from some guy in "Johnson county" Soo, I head to Johnson county just to look around, it is a big place, go down a couple dirt roads with my windows rolled down because it was a nice day out. Then I hear "SCREEAAAAAM SCREAAAAAMMMM!!!" I was like.....that sounds familar (heard them on youtube)....ITS A PEACOCK! lol

So, I followed the screams to this trailer home in the middle of the woods and first thing I notice is a HUGE confederate flag hanging from the carport. I read the signs posted on the fence that say "BEWARE OF DOG" and "TRESSPASSERS WILL BE SHOT" so naturally I was a BIT apprehensive about going up...but I did anyways lol (I live in Texas). Anyways, to make a long story short I meet this really nice old man with a .45 on his hip and find out he has peahens sitting. They are India blues and should be hatching in about 2 weeks. SOOOO excited ^___^.

However....as BYC'ers we all know not to count your chickens before they hatch....SOOO, this MIGHT be the end.

Smitt, where are you in NE Texas? Doug with D&MFarms is outside of Tyler.

ZAZ, If you need some pea eggs or chicks, you can find some in Conroe @ peacocksNmore.(daytrip as I know you don't do overnights)

I am not sure where you are located in Northeast Texas, but there is a man in the Lufkin area who is selling out. He has some breeding pairs for sale. If you are interested, contact me privately at [email protected]. I will get his phone number for you.
