The Joys of Owning Imported Orpingtons

I want to say thank you all for joining :) I have just invited Piglet.. He will probably show up soon.... Please feel free to invite your Orpington friends to join us so we can all have a good time sharing and learning from each other.

While Vivi and I don't show our birds... Buyers have and are showing them. Vivi is coming up very soon and we are going to attend http://www.bostonpoultryexpo.com/ Nov 2 and 3. Would love to meet everybody... please come if you can.

everyone is molting at my place....well i'm not but the chickens are :)
Renie those buff orps i got from you are just HUGE & they are still youngsters
the #12 leg bands are just too small for them
i had to order a pack of #14 & #16 i'll see which ones fit the best

I think she'd produce wonderful 1/2 American 1/2 English babies because she's already so thick and not too leggy.

how are things in TX?
did those lemon boys who headed south turn out to be worth looking at?
i have a bunch of their brothers in the chicken tractor
they are on finish pellets...... most will be at camp soon :)

starting to get a little cold here
had frost on the windshield when i headed out to take the wife to class
she went in front of the BON but we still havn't heard back
as a back up plan she started a nurses aid class
she will be finished come mid Dec.

They are coming along pretty good. Glad to hear that she got to speak with the BON.

I like her color. Is she an American split  Orpington with English Orpington?

Thanks :) I'm really not sure... I got them from a breeder and I have 2 other lavs and they're skinny and American looking, but not her. I think she might have some import blood
 
We are taking a few English x American LF Orpington Roos with us to the Shows in Boston in Nov.. anyone interested is welcome to PM me. :)
