I think I need to name my EE pullet Mr. Miyagi. I watched her eying a fly that buzzed into the coop. Then she lept into the air and caught it on the wing! By the time her feet hit the ground she seemed as surprised as anyone else that she succeeded. Of course, then she cackled and took off running with everyone else in pursuit, all of them yelling at her...

Good-Ness that cracked me up.

Me 3!! They are kind of addicting and my 8 month old daughter thinks they are hilarious and just plain fascinating!

Yeah, chickens are a hoot!

Sounds as if you spend way too much time in the run observing your chickens. I'm also guilty of that.

Actually, not as much as I'd probably like to... and that was a just-happened-to-look-over-at-the-right-time. But boy those things are so stupid... they crack me up LOL

And before y'all start yelling - yes, come on. Chickens are stupid LOLOL

Absolutely, hands down, chickens would win the award for being the most charming animal out there, but yes, they would also take the stupid award.

But we can't help loving them anyway!

I think their pretty unique > They can lay eggs all the time .I can walk in their coop & maybe its just a coincidence but they always some how are another let me know what they need. Like feed if its low are out they tap on it while I'm there saying hey don't forget the feed we are hungry. There waters low they go to it & stand there looking up at me & give me the stink eye saying come on its hot out here we need water. All in all they are a one of a kind animal.
