i don't know what that is :)  the water is definitely very very green.
it's a water pump used for like ponds and stuff and maybe to clean out septic tanks?
The only real way to control the algae is to change the water more often. They need their swimming water refreshed every couple days unless you have a very large pond/lake for them.

I am trying to determine the sex if my ducklings. They are about 7 weeks old and I think the campbells are female. I heard females have the black beaks. No real quacking yet. Can anyone help? It would be greatly appreciated!

My two khakis seem to be really enjoying their new duck pond digs :) I ended up finding a jacuzzi tub like I was hoping! it is the perfect setup. I am draining it in my garden for the first time, right now :)

Any way to combat algae?
Use some Oxine in the water. A few drops goes a long way.

awesome! thanks so much! Yeah, I was thinking this morning that there must be something I can put in there that wouldn't be dangerous to the ducks...

I just added lilly pads in my little pond. The lady I got them from said it cleared up her green water quite effectively. She started out with just one male and female lilly plants and they multiplied rapidly. From what I read, lilly plants block the sun from the green algae which prohibits their growth. Eventually the algae suffocates off. I'll let you know how this works out! :)

I just checked our pond. The top half had very few lilly plants and you can see all the crud and the bottom has none!
I think it's working out well!!
