The kids got their Pekins today

This is our first year raising ducks in 4H for fair. We've got a brooder with two week old roasters. The ducks came home this afternoon and have their own brooder. The lady at the feed store said the ducks couldn't have the medicated feed we're giving the chickens so we got them some non medicated feed. We've got experience raising broilers, cornish and turkeys for 4H. I'm wondering if there is anything different (besides the feed) in raising ducks?

I've got 2 pekins and I feed them chicken feed, and have had no problems. You're gonna love them, they are neat ducks. I also offer them some scratch too. If you don't have a pond, then a kiddie pool will suffice. Have fun, I know you will!

How old should they before we introduce them to a pool?
