I was on the phone with DSO, and managed to get the last of the mascot pics uploaded. Now, I need to post them. But, first, I think I'll do some LAUNDRY.

Workshop??? Naaa, if I build anymore outbuildings I'll surely be tempted to put chickens in them instead. I'm building a big doghouse for 2 large dogs, and my MIL says "what if the dogs won't even go in it??" coz some will sit in the rain in front of their doghouse for some reason....well my response "if the dogs won't use it I'll put chickens in it!!!"

See, just pretty recently I built this pegboard/storage area in the "computer bedroom" -right? Well when we flip-flopped the sleeping bedroom and the computer bedroom a couple of weeks ago, it was decided that I needed to be able to get to my tools during the day without waking DH up (night shift worker) so.....instead of putting the pegboard on the shared bedroom wall so he will hear *bang, bang, clank* every time I get out a tool we decided to put it up in the living room instead.

I already have a pegboard in the kitchen (shared kitchen/dining/living area) soooooooo it'll "match"

Well, the house is a DISASTER ZONE and I haven't washed dishes or cooked in several days. Some hubbies wouldn't appreciate that much so I guess you either get one or the other. I'm definitely not a good "housewife" ..... but I do OK. The laundry is clean, just not put up. And we did eat tonight, even though it was frozen chicken patty sandwiches

We must be living in parallel universes!! I haven't wahsed dishes or cooked in several days either... LOL...and I had my brakes done today.. I actually had to replace my right front Caliper because it wouldn't go back in and it caused my brakes to fail... really scarey.. so make sure you get it done right...

it is 2130 and I am finally getting my dinner break.

It has honestly been one of the hardest shifts I have had in 13 years of working here. It is a very, very stressful place to work right now. I am hiding in the back room trying really hard not to cry... less than two hours to go. But I am kicking myself in the behind for agreeing to take on an extra shift this weekend
hit.gif
What was I thinking... we don't need to eat that bad???? Well.. at least it will pay for the break job today. It is a never ending cycle of getting caught up and the INSTANT that happens there is a mound of unexpected bills.. vets... cars... kids...
sad.png

But on a lighter note... started my prednisone for my hands and after just 24 hours, the swelling is down remarkable. The pain is still there, but hopefully through this course the pain will go too.

Well I am back to stick out the rest of the shift.. hope y'all are having a good night.

I'm headed to bed, but I'll catch you in the morning, Suzy. Hope the rest of the night goes quickly. I have a light day tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get a chance to log on.

Oh I hope that you have a better shift! I totally understand about the prednisone; went to the doctor today and I got an anti-inflammatory shot as well as a z-pack. I seem to catch everything lately ...

Accomplished little today; but dh did get my two year old suburban on a trailer today. Last night coming home from church my dash started all sorts of nonsense as well as the gps and radio acting up; it also showed my stabilatrack and abs flashing. I have no clue; the guys at the shop messed with the battery and altenator but nothing. I hope its all fixable and still under warranty!

My oldest dd and I began her first quilt today. It a "yellow brick road" pattern, easy for her first time! She changed it up a bit and she did the colors in a jazzy black, white and hot green. Looks like teen colors! I am proud of her!

Ready to start ordering seed and getting the garden under way! It "snowed" today; little ice crystals that don't stick to much but it was lovely to see while it lasted.

Har har I was driving around today before we tore the brakes apart and I was noticing the LACK of lights on the dash. (they came on later though)
Ever since we put the new thermostat in, my check engine light comes on a lot. Never once did it come on for the MONTHS that I didn't have a thermostat

Also, the Rear ABS brake light has been lit up most of the time for over a year now. Brakes are good....changed the sensor on it.....learned to ignore the light

SO if ya figure out what trips that darn light, let me know.

ETA: The finished product (half of the tools are in the yard though, so it's not fully stocked)
I think if I buy another blue or green Fortiflex bucket instead of that white one - they will all coordinate!!! lol

Good morning!!
Yes, I think I am a morning person, too. I've been up since 4am, and my alarm does not go off until 5:45am. That gives me plenty of time to talk chicken talk here at the kitchen table!!

Now, I'm going to go back and catch up read!
I didn't know it was Johnny Appleseed Day yesterday either.

I am in the right thread!!
My dishes are always piled up!!
Love the peg board.
I hope I won't be needing a brake job anytime soon, but my DH had his fixed a few weeks ago.
I actually have replaced pads on a car before myself, but that was years ago. I even replaced valve cover gaskets on my sister's car, years ago, and spark plugs in my car, years ago. I use to do my own oil changes, but now I cheat and go to the drive through oil change place.
Yesterday I was busy taking water samples to be tested. Yea, a water sample the HD took came back with bacteria in it. Now I am trying to find out if it is in the well, or holding tank, or just that house. So I took my own samples in, and today I will treat the system. I want a before and after test result. We are under a do not drink the water order, and I have to comply. I'm really hoping their test is bogus, I have high hopes, but you never know. So first I had to give all neighbors notice. Then I had to make arrangements to have everyone at their homes at a certain time, call the bank and demand they let me in the 'locked up' house, so I can begin the treatment process. By the time I get the results back from the water samples I took in, I will have already started the treatment process. But, I have to go by the sample the HD took, and then do the treatment, and then have it retested, so my samples are really just for my own curiosity. Please, please let this be a simple solution!

jeaucamom

ok, even though it is still too early, think I'll start getting ready for work.

My husband bought me a dishwasher for Christmas, and it is the best gift ever, in the history of the world. I no longer have to stand over the sink twice a day doing loads of dishes.

We are leaving on a 1200 mile trip in 20 days, so my husband is checking the car out this weekend. New spark plugs, oil change, check the tires and belts, the whole shebang. And then I have to clean the car out, lucky, lucky me.

ibpboo - what sort of bacteria did they find in the water?

Good morning, again! I love it when I can sneak home in the middle of the day.

Coffee's on, and a carrot-walnut bread from a friend. It's divine heated with butter.

Love the pegboard and buckets!

I just got pegboard for the garage. I haven't got it organized yet, though. I like the bucket idea. It will be nice to have a good workshop area, but I must admit, I miss being able to run to the dining room for a screwdriver or the sander.

edited to fix silly spelling.
