Good morning!
I did not get to flop after work yesterday, and I don't think I'm going to get to today either. But I have all next week off, lots of flopping then!

Okay, let's see.....

Note #18 - What flowers are blooming in your yard right now? (Or if you still have snow, what flowers are you looking for first?)

I have wild onions, which I think are beautiful. I have the little yellow flowers of redwood sorrel, and a few red and yellow tulips. There's the purple spires of ajuga, and the tiny red blooms of Hot Lips Sage. (I love that name!) There are some cool red Alstromeria type, though I'm not sure what they really are. And, there are a bunch of tiny bulbs that have this beautiful asymmetrical creamy white flower with a yellow throat. I also have some yellow African Daisies. Oh, and the apple tree buds are just starting to open. YEAH, SPRING!!!!!

We have no flowers! Either the chickens ate them, they froze to deat, or someone stepped on 'em.

Unless you cound dandelions.

Of course we count dandelions. My kids used to hand me dandelion bouquets, and they always got the royal vase treatment. Plus, if we don't count dandelions, then I can't count my wild onions.

I remember when we had wild onions. I also remember when trees were tall, and we had tons on green.

Since our place is new to us and we are in the process of building a 12x24 porch,we havent had much time to landscape. To call it landscaping any way might be a joke. I allow my horses and mule to graze in the yard. The chickens to free range, if I'm outside. I too have dandelions I saw some Indian Paintbrushes. I think I have what looks to be large white Iris. There were last summer, when we bought the house Red cannas all the length of the house. Very beautiful. It sucks that they are right where we are building monster porch. So I am on my way outside today to dig them up. I'm reasonably sure this is the wrong time and I will kill them all. I bought more different colors also just in case.

Orp I'm glad you are getting a little break!
