Note #20 - How do you celebrate Easter? And, what is the most memorable thing you ever did with your kids for the holiday?
How about the most memorable thing I did TO my kids?
When my daughter was around 4, she was trying to decide if she believed in the Easter Bunny. She was really questioning, and her questions were very grown up and logical. Her grandfather indicated that if she didn't believe, she wouldn't get any candy. (Grrr)
We had gone on many walks through the woods and she knew what different animal poops looked like . So, I put some raisenettes on the floor.
She woke up on Easter morning, hesitant to come out of her room, afraid to see no candy basket. Her eyes lit up when she saw that there was a basket. Then she looked down.
" Ewww"" says daughter " That looks like.. it coudn't be. Ewwww "
So, I pick a few up. I say " It sure looks like bunny poop". She agreed.
I sniff. " Sorta smells like Easter Bunny poop". She was partially intrigued, partially grossed out.
Then I popped the raisenettes into my mouth. She screamed.
I said. " Oh wow Guess what? The Easter Bunny poops CHOCOLATE".
