You know how when you flop on the bed and sleep for hours, and wake up wondering what time it is?

I had one of those naps tonight. Fell asleep at 5:30. Woke up at 10:30. Thought I was late for work.

I had tons to do tonight. I had to go get a heat lamp for the brooder. Chicks come Thursday! Now the stores are closed.

Note # 26 - How much sleep have you been getting lately?

I've been having trouble getting even 6 hours a night. I guess it caught up with me.

eta - sorry I've been so remiss about going back to read everyone's posts on the three wishes. I know they were good wishes. I've just been insanely busy and CRAZY tired!

Note # 26 - How much sleep have you been getting lately?

Lately I have been consistently waking up around 3am, and can't seem to get back to sleep. I even tried staying up till midnight, hoping I would sleep past 3am. It didn't work. But quite often, after work, I flop on my bed and get an hours nap, so I don't think I'm too sleep deprived. But, what is waking me up at 3am?

If I get all pullets I won't be disappointed. However, if I get one rooster, then I can fulfill the wish of one BYCer who wants a John Blehm black Ameraucana roo, but couldn't order just one. If I get two roos, then things get interesting...

But, you wouldn't know anything about that.

I wanted to have the brooder set up last night to test the temp. I need to set it up in the science room at school today. I didn't do it. I slept the whole evening away.

Now, I won't have time to set up the brooder properly before the chicks arrive. I also need to get chick starter, and didn't get it. They were out last time I was at the feed store.

I had so much time to prepare, and I blew it!

Ah well, at least I now have a renter who seems like a nice young man. Count blessings!
