Both Nisha and Suliya saw odd things as they got into the Middle Realm - a lake overhead, a clock ticking backwards, and flickerings of faces Nisha had not seen in years. She had lived in the dream world for years and had yet to wake up.
It sent a shiver down her spine, but she pushed on.
 
(They are in the Middle Realm already and are getting steadily deeper - kind of perfect Harambe popped up honestly.)
 
(I meant the Nightmare Realm, but that answers my question.) One of the kids from my class said "R.I.P. Harambe," then disappears. "Harambe lives!" Said another.
 
In an instant Nisha wished she had not gone in and looked around. Suddenly she was unsure which way was which; everything was an awkward, swirling purple mist with faint images of things Nisha had once seen in the waking world.
She thought she could sense it from Suliya too as she groped through the mist, as if she was hoping to grab hold of something on the other side.
