I'm bored on the internet again, so you know what that means!
Yay more roleplays!
I mean, for me. Unless you want to join, of course. Which would be amazing.
I hope you guys like this concept. Please answer the poll, too, even if you don't decide to join. It gives me ideas.

Prologue
The year was 2130. Rayne looked out the foggy window into the bright-orange sky. The door flew open and she walked in her cumbersome spacesuit out onto the rocky plain. Venus' hills rolled and shone like gold, glinting in the light.
"Take off your helmets," someone said.
Rayne's gloves fumbled as she tried to screw it off. What if the artificial atmosphere didn't work? What if she was going to die, right here, right now, with all these people she didn't know? At last her helmet began to twist and she felt the skin of her face burn in this new, oxygen-thin place. She inhaled.
"It's safe," she breathed softly.
She turned around and the door to the space shuttle had shut. A man's voice - the same one - sounded through a speaker.
"See you in six months," he told the group of people gravely.
The shuttle powered up and launched into the pitch-dark sky.

The Basic Idea
New technology has supposedly made it possible to live on other planets. Earth has evolved dramatically - Asia has developed incredible advances in androids and robots, Europe in conveniences from auto-chefs to bionic limbs, and America recreation, like hoverboards and time machine prototypes.
A group of teens has been chosen randomly to live entirely on Venus for six months. The only communication is an old CD player that has been modified to allow calls. It also plays CDs, but it cannot do both at the same time, making the latter risky if they need to talk to Earth.
Because of the technological advancements, characters can have personal gadgets depending on where they're from. Countries nearly obsolete, it is mainly Asia, America, Europe and Australia. (Some cool ideas for these in @Fanci Feathers Marans 's post below.)
There is little to nothing known about Venus. Given some supplies such as medicine and food, they're also handed weapons - perhaps there's other life on this planet.
Humans have evolved too - maybe your hair is blue naturally. :)

Fabulous rp, though I probably won't join because I gotta upkeep my own atm. Some pointers would be:
  1. Make some interesting characters.
What I mean by that is, provide room for creativity in the physical appearance/ natural abilities that characters can have. Whether it be superpowers, shapeshifting, or just space things. Ex: bioluminescent necklaces that can help you heal extra fast when broken onto a wound, earrings made of Jupiter, specialized spacesuits with cool buttons they tell you not to touch, ect. Also, do they meet any aliens? How do these humans appear to the aliens

2. Equipment
What kinda stuff are we gonna be lugging around this planet? Guns? Lab equipment? A dilapidated cassette player? Describe a few in detail.

3. Nostalgia
What used to be? This is basically a root for which back stories can grow. Some of these can get kind of cliche, but are going to be really helpful to you if you decide to make a story line.

4. Story type.
Is this a post-apocalyptic with a fantasy vibe? Or is a sci-fi steampunk combination? Or you could just go pure Sci-Fi and dig really deep into technology, it doesn't matter. Just know your vibes.

5. Storey
Who are these people, and why can only they complete this task? Do we have a bad guy? A ticking time bomb? A plague of space dementia? Make something original. Or just play off of a cliche and put your own twist on it. Remember: this has probably been done before, but not by you. I have found that dreams provide some especially creative stories. Start writing them down when you wake up. Have a little notebook of weirdness beside your bed.

6: The End
I know, I know. A lot of rp's go on and on with no end in sight, but end they will. And they might as well die by your own hand than Death by Forgotten. Set a page count goal. Make a story arc with the most wonderful and exciting ending known to science. Go. And let wanderlust be your guide.
