Niko lapped up what seemed like a gallon of water. With water dripping from his jawl he ran back to his den.
Wolf saw him coming back and smiled, he went to meet up with him.
Niko saw Wolf and quickly shook off to get the excess water off of his body. He smiled and walked up to him.
Wolf chuckled "I see you beat me at waking up, I would have woken up sooner but even I'm a bit old and I need my sleep" he said shaking his head at himself "So tell me what were you up to?' he asked
"Well, I decided I should wake up when I heard the songbird, so I did. They are up and start singing at the earliest hour. They were my alarm clock this morning. After I woke up I went to the meadow and ate a pheasant and a rabbit, I'm very full now. Then I went to get a drink and now I'm back here!" He said ending with a smile.
Wolf chuckled "You remind me of me when I was your age. Very persistent about waking up earlier than the pack" he said "Alright, the first lesson is more of a question, if you are able to understand it than you've already passed the first lesson, but if you don't then I'll teach you. So what is a Leader or Alpha of a pack?' he asked "Tell me what is his job and if he only has one job?" he asked
Niko thought for a moment, "He is the leader, he makes sure things are in line. He makes sure things are okay and under control." Niko said.
Wolf nodded "Well, true but that is also not entirely what I Leader is suppose to be" he said then began to walk "Come with me, I'll show you what Leadership is, what I believe what it is" he said
Niko nodded and followed.
Wolf went to a hunting spot "First lesson and answer to what I said. Yes a leader does keep his pack in line but he also teaches, protects, learns and provides . A Leader is suppose to teach his pack to see what is right and wrong, but not in a violent way. He protects his pack from danger of others and from there own selves. Then He learns from his pack, he may not always know what to do, that when he listens to his members for help, that's when he learns." he said and smiled "Providing is the second hardest thing to do for a pack when you're a leader" he said looking around and sniffed the ground "Now we start with providing for a pack" he said and sat down "Lets say I'm an elderly of YOUR pack, to old to hunt for myself, what do you do?" he asked
