The law on Chicken waste in Miami!

I have to bag mine because the old fart of a neighbor of mine complains my "compost" pile stinks.....well, I scattered my compost pile, guess what I found, pure BLACK dirt! What a waste! Whats wrong with fresh smell of dirt?

I didn't notice a smell at all when I dug into mine to get some of that black gold for flower pots. But it's growing in size so fast... I was thinking I should switch to sand in the coop and start bagging it and tossing it, and only letting the rabbits contribute to the compost. I have these biodegradable poo bags for the dogs, that I think will fit a coffee can nicely. With sand instead of pine shavings, I can scoop out just the poo and dispose of it readily. My compost pile is all pine shavings from the looks of it.

It's building up fast too, even though between all the outside critters, I only add a 5 gallon bucket worth of stuff per day. Mostly pine shavings that got collected with the poo.
