The Left-handed thread!

I'm not a lefty and neither is my DH BUT we have produced 2 (out of 3) left handers!

Our 7YO DD and 2 YO DS are both lefties. Our 4YO DS is a righty like us. I read somewhere the odd's of two right handed people having a left handed child is something like 9%. All the other lefties out there, just for my curiosity, do either of you have right handed parents?

I always have to remind the teachers they are lefties too, forgot one time at a new daycare and they made my poor DD use her right all day the first day! d'oh! guess they didn't believe that a 3YO could tell them, funniest part is when I did confirm that night my DD said, 'SEE!?! I told you I use my left hand!'

DF (dear father) is a lefty. Several times my mother has caught me using my left hand to eat or something, but it feels weird to wirte ith my left hand.

I'm left handed!

I've been told that when I was little, everyone would take things out of my left hand and put it in my right hand. I now use my right hand nearly as much as my left hand.
I still write and eat with my left hand, everything else I can do with either.

I'm a lefty! I do everything right handed except for writing, though. I was raised by two right handed parents and grandparents that tried to MAKE me right handed.

Same here...I write with left hand and everything else with the right. I don't remember anyone making me do anything with one had over the other though.

If the the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, and the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then left-handed people are the only ones in their right minds
